Level III Equipment Mechanic

Job Description TradeWise Staffing Group is actively hiring an experienced Level III Equipment Mechanic for a long-term opportunity supporting heavy civil construction operations in the Las Vegas market. We are seeking a highly skilled mechanic with strong diagnostic and repair experience working on heavy construction equipment, diesel-powered machinery, and fleet vehicles in fast-paced field environments.This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a mechanic who can work independently, mentor junior mechanics, and keep equipment operating safely and efficiently to support active construction projects.RESPONSIBILITIES• Diagnose, inspect, repair, and maintain heavy construction equipment and fleet vehiclesThe experience expected from applicants, as well as additional skills and qualifications needed for this job are listed below.• Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on diesel-powered equipment• Work on bulldozers, loaders, excavators, rollers, motor graders, scrapers, backhoes, water trucks, and related machinery• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, suspension, and engine systems• Complete equipment inspections and safety checks prior to operation• Read and interpret service manuals, schematics, diagrams, and blueprints• Maintain maintenance records, repair logs, and equipment documentation• Mentor and assist less experienced mechanics when needed• Ensure all repairs and maintenance meet company safety standards and OSHA compliance• Support uptime and minimize equipment downtime on active projectsQUALIFICATIONS• 3–10+ years of heavy equipment mechanic experience• Strong diesel equipment diagnostic and repair background• Experience working in heavy civil or construction environments• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision• Leadership or foreman-level experience preferred• Familiarity with computer diagnostic systems and repair software• Ability xhyhwjd to lift up to 100 lbs and work indoors/outdoors in varying weather conditions• Must have own basic mechanic toolsPREFERRED EXPERIENCE• Hydraulic systems• Electrical troubleshooting• Engine rebuilds and repairs• Preventative maintenance programs• Construction fleet maintenance• OSHA and jobsite safety complianceWHY JOIN US?-Long-term opportunity-Stable heavy civil work-Overtime available-Growth opportunity with established contractor-Safety-driven environmentApply today for immediate consideration
