To date, the company has deployed over 200 networks - enough undersea cable to circle Earth more than 17 times at the equator.\n\nPosition Overview: The Sr. Process Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, reviewing, and improving the production process for products within the Optical Sub-Assembly (OSA) group. In this position, you will be designing, verifying, validating, and troubleshooting the processes. The successful candidate is a creative problem solver who can effectively collaborate with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders (Quality, Operations, Program Management, etc.).\n\nDuties and Responsibilities:\n\nDevelop, write, and maintain manufacturing process & equipment procedures, technical specifications, and user work instructions.\nEstablish engineering labor and material standards for manufacturing operations; monitor performance to the standards and address any variations.\nPerform feasibility and trade studies, cost analyses, and return on investment (ROI) and cost-to-benefit evaluations.\nComplete assigned engineering tasks on time and within budget.\nOrganize, prepare, and/or conduct technical design reviews to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.\nPerform failure mode and effects analyses to establish and maintain stable processes.\nEstablish and verify new product/process capabilities and new process parameters prior to release to production.\nPerform capability and variability studies on new and existing processes, equipment, and tools.\nProvide technical support and clear communications to all users of the process.\nMonitor and evaluate quality data and develop methods to improve quality levels.\nTroubleshoot manufacturing processes, techniques, and quality issues; develop corrective actions to maintain acceptable levels of productivity and quality.\nCollaborate with engineering, quality, manufacturing, operations, and internal and external supply chain personnel to diagnose issues and support continuous improvements.\nDrive continuous improvements in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, and cost.\nSupport root cause corrective action activities using structured practices such as DMAIC or 8D.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nBachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering related science required.\n10+ years of Process Engineering experience\nPrevious experience with document control systems, engineering change orders and modification requests required.\nLean / Six Sigma Certification and application of Lean / Six Sigma Body of Knowledge is a plus.\nMust be highly motivated and able to work independently.\nProven track record of evaluating existing manufacturing processes and ability to re-engineer those processes to increase throughput, reduce downtime, improve safety, and enhance quality.\nProven ability to problem solve, execute, deliver on commitments and drive projects to on time completion.\nProficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools.\nAbility to energize, develop and build relationships with co-workers and cross-functional team members.\nStrong ability to influence people without direct authority and ability to adapt to a dynamic environment.\nExcellent analytical skills with the ability to manage projects and develop manufacturing processes for production handoffs.\nAbility and willingness to engage with the manufacturing floor and associated personnel to implement processes, solve problems and ensure flow of material within work centers.","company":"Subcom","rawCompany":"subcom","city":"Newington","state":"NH","isRemote":false,"isActive":false,"createdAt":"2026-08-22T16:42:13.479Z","occupations":[{"code":"17-2112.03","title":"Manufacturing Engineers","slug":"manufacturing-engineers"},{"code":"17-2112.00","title":"Industrial Engineers","slug":"industrial-engineers"},{"code":"17-2199.00","title":"Engineers, All Other","slug":"engineers-all-other"}],"industries":[{"code":"335921","title":"Fiber Optic Cable Manufacturing","slug":"fiber-optic-cable-manufacturing"},{"code":"335929","title":"Other Communication and Energy Wire Manufacturing","slug":"other-communication-and-energy-wire-manufacturing"},{"code":"541330","title":"Engineering Services","slug":"engineering-services"}],"jobPosting":{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"JobPosting","title":"Senior Process Engineer","description":"SubCom is the leading global partner for today’s undersea data transport requirements.
