{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"63f7a9bfd3c1faa9eacf9bd3","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/63f7a9bfd3c1faa9eacf9bd3","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/63f7a9bfd3c1faa9eacf9bd3","title":"Maintenance Supervisor Second Shift","description":"Key Responsibilities\n\nSupervise plant maintenance personnel to ensure optimal performance.\n\nMaintain machinery and support systems at maximum efficiency.\n\nFollow, maintain, and evaluate preventive maintenance (PM) programs and schedules.\n\nAdminister the \\\"Red Tag\\\" program to monitor adherence to food safety goals through maintenance, sanitation, and quality verification steps.\n\nMaintain strong working relationships with all other departments.\n\nTrain and cross-train mechanics in both mechanical and electrical repairs on various equipment.\n\nRespond to breakdowns during off shifts and be available for contact during off hours.\n\nComplete project jobs from preparing BOM lists to completion.\n\nEnsure compliance with Company and OSHA rules related to safety, GMPs, security, and PPE policies.\n\nEnsure compliance with EPA rules and regulations.\n\nKeep the shop and maintenance areas clean and well-maintained.\n\nAdminister disciplinary action in accordance with Company policy when necessary.\n\nIsolate repetitive line problems and collaborate with line leaders, managers, and Chief Engineer for solutions.\n\nNotify the Plant, Chief Engineer, Managers, and Quality Assurance Manager of pertinent issues in a timely manner.\n\nSchedule work for maintenance personnel on the shift.\n\nCommunicate and administer all Company policies and procedures consistently.\n\nPerform all other assigned duties.\n\nWillingness to work extra hours or extra days if necessary.\n\nCommit to a continuous improvement work team environment.\n\nScope Data\n\nArea of impact: Plant\n\nWorking Relationship\n\nWork collaboratively with team members on the production line and maintenance.\n\nInterface with all department management, leads, and machine operators.\n\nAssist contractors as needed.\n\nWork closely with leaders and management.\n\nSupervise other mechanics.\n\nPhysical Demands\n\nInvolves pushing, pulling, and bending.\n\nAbility to work on feet for the entire shift.\n\nPerform tasks requiring standing, lifting, pulling, and climbing machinery and/or tooling.\n\nWork in high ambient temperatures.\n\nQualifications/Education\n\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent.\n\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\n\nElectrical: Better than average troubleshooting knowledge of 3 phase 480VAC, control circuits of 110VAC and 24DC, AB PLCs.\n\nWelding: Ability to weld with TIG and stick.\n\nCutting: Torch, band saw, grinder, plasma cutter.\n\nFabricating: Ability to fabricate simple guards, covers, catch pans, etc.\n\nDrilling/Milling: Knowledge of power drills, drill press, mill, and lathe machines.\n\nMS Office: Fluent in MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word.\n\nGood communication and leadership skills.\n\nExperience (Years/Type)\n\n3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.\n\n3 years of prior supervisory experience.\n\nAdditional Preferred Qualifications\n\nBetter than average knowledge of maintenance functions such as electrical, electrical controls, PLCs, plumbing, conveyors, motors/gearboxes, and ability to read schematics/blueprints.\n\nCompany Benefits and Perks\n\nBase salary $80,000 -
