Work will perfeomrd at R&P Technologies Washington, DC office with partial telework opportunities that align with the customer and R&P Technologies' in office requirements. The candidate will work extensively using the Navy Modernization Process-Management Operations Manual (NMP-MOM) as the primary modernization reference guidance to support ship alteration research, planning, scheduling, and execution.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nReview ship class modernization, advanced planning, ship availabilities, integration of new technologies, the overarching contract strategy, and planning yard functions to appropriately prepare program/ project briefings, plans, meeting minutes, action item reports, and other required program planning documentation.\n\nDraft, review, coordinate, and/or process Ship Change Documents (SCDs) for Combat Systems (CS), Command, Control,Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I), and Hull, Mechnical, & Electrical (HM&E) systems.\n\nSupport ship alteration/modernization Availability Work Package (AWP) planning, Participating Acquisition Resource Manager (PARM) coordination, SCD maturity management via the Technical Assessment Team (TAT), SCD scheduling via customer Change Manager (CM), SCD logisitics review requirements and coordiantion, deconfliction of NMP-MOM requirements for SCD maturity.\n\nIdentify risks and potential mitigation strategies to reduce likelihood/impact of risk events pertaining to execution of planned ship alterations.\n\nProvide support to adequately resolve critical problems in fielding and fleet-introduction, to include any future availabilities. This support includes coordinating with Ship Program Office (SPM),Surface Maintenance Engineering Planning Program (SURFMEPP), PARMs, Type Commander (TYCOM), and Regional Maintenance Centers (RMCs) to execute Fleet requirements.\n\nWork independently to develop modenization program reports in coordination with the customer and Modernization Task Lead.\n\nAssist in the preparation and delivery of briefings and presentations to government representatives and associated stakeholders.\n\nWork closely with customer personnel across several Navy program offices, R&P employees, ship personnel, and industry stakeholders to support and expedite SCD development, maturity, and execution.\n\nManage email communication and provide prompt response to all queries.\n\nEffectively manage and file developed documents.\n\nSafeguard handling of documentation in adherance to security requirements.\n\nQualifications\nRequired:\n\nBachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
