You will support mergers and acquisitions by leading integration efforts to ensure successful business and operational agreement.\nWhat Your Responsibilities Will Be:\nResponsibilities\nLead programs that move Avalara's priorities, ensuring understanding, clear plans, and measurable outcomes\nBuild and manage program plans by defining scope, milestones, dependencies, and success metrics across multiple teams\nGuide execution by aligning team members, removing blockers, and ensuring programs achieve on time results\nPartner with senior leaders to define program goals, develop recommendations, and translate strategy into execution\nEstablish and run program operating rhythms that create visibility, accountability, and action across teams\nIdentify risks and resolve issues by managing trade-offs, escalations, and priorities with\nSupport mergers and acquisitions by leading integration execution, ensuring agreement across systems, and teams\nUse AI tools (such as n8n and similar workflow automation platforms) to improve program workflows, improve reporting, accelerate analysis, and enhance decision-making\nWhat You'll Need to be Successful:\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, information management, or a related field such as operations or technology\n8+ years of experience in program management, product management, or change management\nLead large programs with measurable growth\nProgram management skills, including planning, dependency management, and risk management\nExperience driving change and influencing team members in a matrixed organization\nTranslate strategy into clear plans, actions, and outcomes\nExperience working with senior leaders and presenting to executive audiences\nProficiency with program and collaboration tools (such as Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel)\nDemonstrated experience using AI tools to improve workflows, automate processes, and enhance decision-making (such as n8n or similar automation platforms)\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nPMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent\nExperience supporting mergers and acquisitions, including integration execution\nExperience in a corporate program management office (PMO) or similar strategic function\nAdvanced experience using AI tools to automate workflows, create insights, and improve program delivery\nExperience working in high-growth environments\nExperience in a SaaS (Software as a Service) company\nFamiliarity with financial, operational, or product metrics used to measure performance\n\nAvalara Success Traits\nOwnership – Takes responsibility for program outcomes, drives projects from start to finish\nCuriosity – Asks questions and challenges assumptions,\nAdaptability – Adjusts quickly to changing priorities\nAvalara is an AI-first Company:\nAI is embedded in our workflows, decision-making, and products.
