At Leidos, you'll have the opportunity to innovate, lead, and grow while contributing to technologies that matter.\n\nWhat you get to do every day:\n\nLead systems engineering activities across the full system lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture development, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment.\n\nCollaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Agile development teams to refine features and translate mission needs into technical solutions.\n\nDevelop and maintain system architectures, interface definitions, operational concepts (CONOPS), and technical documentation.\n\nPerform systems decomposition, functional analysis, allocation, and traceability using industry-standard systems engineering practices.\n\nSupport backlog refinement, sprint planning, and technical roadmap development.\n\nEvaluate system performance, identify technical risks, and develop mitigation strategies.\n\nCoordinate integration across multiple development teams and external mission partners.\n\nSupport verification and validation activities, ensuring requirements are fully tested and documented.\n\nParticipate in design reviews, architecture reviews, technical interchange meetings, and customer briefings.\n\nSupport DevSecOps initiatives and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.\n\nEnsure compliance with customer and Intelligence Community engineering standards and security requirements.\n\nQualifications\nClearance Required: Active TS clearance (with SCI Eligibility) and eligibility to obtain CI Poly\n\nCertification : CompTIA Security+ certification or an equivalent DoD IAT Level II certification\n\nEducation/Experience:\n\nRequires Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related STEM discipline\n\n8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience\n\n8+ years of professional systems engineering experience\n\nRequired Skills:\n\nINCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certification (ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP)\n\nStrong understanding of systems engineering principles and the systems development lifecycle\n\nExperience working with Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban)\n\nExperience with requirements management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar\n\nKnowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GovCloud)\n\nExperience with system integration, interface management, and enterprise architecture\n\nFamiliarity with DevSecOps pipelines and CI/CD tools\n\nAbility to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment\n\nWhat is ideal?\n\nExperience supporting the customer's mission systems or GEOINT programs\n\nExperience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML\n\nFamiliarity with Cameo Systems Modeler or similar modeling tools\n\nExperience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized applications\n\nKnowledge of microservices architecture\n\nExperience with REST APIs and distributed systems\n\nINCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certification (ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP)\n\nSAFe Agilist (SA), Scrum Master, or Agile certification\n\nExperience supporting cloud-native or hybrid cloud environments\n\nIntelligence Community Experience preferred\n\nWhat you can expect from us\n\nRecognizing great achievements do not go unnoticed by bcore through service anniversaries, spot awards, and employee referral bonuses\n\nYou'll join a growing organization of passionate, top-shelf, IT engineering professionals with extensive experience in actively developing the technology revolution in the Intelligence community\n\nThe expected salary range within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $141,000-181,000.
