The Project Engineer will serve as the primary on‑site resource for the facility, acting as the representative coordinating with the home and office and plant personnel.\nResponsibilities Support capital project execution and day‑to‑day engineering needs in coordination with home and corporate engineering teams and on‑site plant leadership.\nAct as a liaison between corporate engineering, plant operations, plant maintenance, contractors, and equipment vendors.\nTrack actions and schedule plant activities.\nReport back and coordinate weekly with the home engineering team in New Orleans, LA.\nLead execution of small‑to‑mid size capital projects from concept through installation and startup with our office engineering and design team.\nMaintain core project documentation (Action Items, Schedules, Cost Reports).\nDevelop preliminary project scopes, budgets, and schedules for capital projects and plant level initiatives.\nCoordinate with equipment vendors to specify, evaluate, and procure process and utility equipment.\nSolicit and review bids from contractors (mechanical, electrical, controls, etc.).\nDevelop bid tabs for client review and approval.\nManage contractor activities on‑site, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.\nPlan and coordinate project work around limited production downtime windows.\nSupport installation efforts, including frequent weekend work and extended hours during shutdowns.\nProvide hands‑on engineering support to maintenance teams for troubleshooting, repairs, and system improvements.\nTrack project progress, communicate status updates, and escalate risks or delays as needed.\nAdditional duties as assigned.\nQualifications 2+ years experience in Project Engineering or Lead Engineering roles.\nEngineering degree required; Mechanical Engineering preferred.\nConstruction Management/Project Engineering backgrounds considered with relevant experience.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit; climb, balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
