Collaborate with project Operations to ensure transfer of information is delivered, understood, and implemented.\nDuties\nServe as key project Engineering resource with extensive and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of contract documents, including plans, specifications, and applicable codes. • Lead, supervise, and develop project Engineering employees and participate in hiring process, onboard and deliver timely performance feedback for direct reports, execute/contribute to performance appraisals during annual performance cycle, utilize talent management systems, and identify appropriate training to help with development needs.\nEstablish, communicate, and maintain procedures with design professionals, consultants, owner and trade partners for information flow, approvals, meetings, reporting, and applications for payment.\nWork with Preconstruction and Purchasing in development of Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) or initial project budget and consult on project engineering specific project needs.\nConduct thorough construction document reviews and examine documents for constructability and Quality Control (QC), raise concerns to attention of appropriate design professional and see through to resolution.\nParticipate in preparation of various project studies, recommendations for materials and methods, and cost estimates.\nDevelop trade partner Scope of Work (SOW) documents for bid packages, major material and equipment purchases and include in detailed contract items list.\nPrepare procurement schedule for trade partners and major material and equipment purchases to ensure timely buyouts and overall compliance with construction schedule.\nPrepare and manage project status and financial reports.\nSchedule, conduct, and document job meetings, owner-architect and coordination meetings.\nManage trade partner change order process including review of estimates, negotiation of change orders, and obtain required owner approvals.\nManage project close-out, including securing warranties, guarantees, acceptance of work, trade partner and vendor close, final payment, and records retention.\nOther activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned\n- Utilize software such as Bluebeam, Civil 3D, and Prolog for project documentation\nSkills\n-Bachelor’s Degree from accredited degree program in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Construction or similar, and/or minimum of 6 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience\nExtensive experience in construction engineering principles and techniques\nComprehensive knowledge of building construction materials, systems, market conditions, trade practices\nAbility to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule\nKnowledge of accounting principles and cost control procedures\nKnowledge of estimating, construction costs, scheduling, purchasing, and engineering principles and techniques, various building systems\nProject management of competing demands, and meet established deadlines\nProfessional verbal and written communication skills • Experience managing staff, able to provide direction, delegation, and performance feedback\nProficient computer skills and Microsoft Office suite of applications\nExperience with continuous improvement methodologies\nLimited travel\n- Experience with software tools like Bluebeam, Civil 3D, and Prolog\nJob Type: Full-time\nPay: $75,000.00 -
