This includes the overall development, implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System across all manufacturing and logistics operations within the organization. This role leads the QA team and serves as the primary quality authority and cross-functional partner to Manufacturing, Logistics, Sales, Marketing, and Purchasing. It also supports enterprise-wide training in Lean principles, problem solving, and continuous improvement, while working closely with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and identify strategic improvement opportunities.How You'll be Rewarded:Batesville is a family. Actual compensation within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, skills, experience, and location.IMMEDIATE ELIGIBILITY - Comprehensive medical, dental and vision insurance, as well as prescription coverage, short-term disability, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and more.Generous 401K Matching ProgramPaid time offOpportunities for development and advancementWhat You'll Do:Define and advance the Supply Chain Quality visionProvide strategic and tactical quality oversight for all manufacturing facilities and logistics centers, ensuring product integrity from production through final deliveryFoster a culture of quality ownership at all levels - from front-line operators to site leadership - by modeling accountability and developing the team competencies in traditional tools for Quality System Monitoring, Analysis and Improvement like (Cause Effect Diagrams, SPC, FMEA, Poka Yoke, A3, Coaching, Audits, Control Plans, VSM, MSAs, DOEs, 3Ps, etc.)Lead the development of standardized quality policies, procedures, work instructions, and documentation frameworks deployed consistently across all sitesServe as the senior quality point of contact for strategic and high-priority external customers; build trusted, long-term relationships that position quality as a competitive differentiatorEstablish and monitor quality KPIs across sites; analyze trends, identify systemic gaps, and lead targeted improvement initiativesConduct regular site visits and quality reviews; assess site-level team capabilities and provide coaching, development, and escalation supportDevelops Batesville Quality Team competencies in the traditional tools for Quality System Monitoring, Analysis and Improvement like (Cause Effect Diagrams, SPC, FMEA, Poka Yoke, A3, Coaching, Audits, Control Plans, VSM, MSAs, DOEs, 3Ps, etc.)Support of Policy Deployment, product recalls, and field repairsDevelopment of annual situation assessment, framework, budgets and capital plans for the quality function.Other duties may be assignedWhat You'll Bring:Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) with at least 10 years of progressive quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role with multi-site or regional scopeASQ CMQ/OE certifications preferredDemonstrated experience managing quality across distribution or logistics operations in addition to manufacturingStrong business acumen; ability to translate quality data into business impact and executive-level narrativesProven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing outcomes across Sales, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain without direct authorityDemonstrated experience managing external customer relationshipsDeep knowledge of quality management systems and relevant standards (ISO 9000 (or similar).Excellent problem solving, leadership, influencing and partnering skills and experienceAbility to multi-task and prioritize protecting the integrity of the Quality System, meet production needs and meet company objectivesExceptional communication and interpersonal skills; equally effective presenting to the C-suite and engaging with production floor teamsExperience in high-mix, multi-product manufacturing environmentsExperience in identifying and ability to mitigate risks to the company and customersPC literate, knowledge of statistical tools, statistical process control, Excel, Word and PowerPointExperience with automotive, furniture, or other assembly line manufacturingAbility to speak and understand Spanish is a plusDemonstrated ability to assess and develop talentSupervisory Responsibilities:This position does have direct and indirect supervisory responsibilities, including the Corporate Quality LabTravel:Employee must be able to travel 30% - 40% of the time (domestic and/or international)Key CompetenciesLeading Through InfluenceBuilds trust and credibility across peer functions; drives alignment without relying on positional authority.
