This role is critical to supporting the modernization, sustainment, and operational readiness of Mod and Sim systems, enabling seamless integration and scalability for Joint and Air Force training environments. The Lead DevOps Engineer will play a pivotal role in driving automation, ensuring compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards, and fostering collaboration across development, security, and operations teams.\n*This position is contingent upon contract award.*\nResponsibilities\nPlatform Architecture & Implementation\nArchitect, implement, and configure the M&S DevSecOps Platform, including core platform services, to support cloud and on-premises deployments.\nDesign scalable and secure infrastructure solutions that meet the operational needs of Joint and Air Force training environments.\nAutomation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC)\nAutomate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management using IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.\nDevelop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with integrated security tools (e.g., GitLab, SonarQube, Fortify) to ensure secure and efficient software delivery.\nContainerization & Orchestration\nManage and optimize containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and scalability.\nImplement and maintain container orchestration solutions to support modernized M&S systems.\nCybersecurity & Compliance\nEnsure platform reliability, availability, and compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards, including RMF and NIST 800-53 frameworks.\nCollaborate with security teams to remediate vulnerabilities and implement security best practices across the platform.\nCollaboration & Modernization Support\nWork closely with development, security, and operations teams to support system modernization, transition engineering, and sustainment efforts.\nProvide technical leadership in integrating DevSecOps practices into the software development lifecycle.\nMonitoring & Optimization\nImplement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure platform performance and operational readiness.\nContinuously evaluate and optimize platform performance, scalability, and security.\nPerforms other related duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nActive Secret clearance required.\n10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 7 years in DevSecOps roles across multiple projects.\nHands-on experience with programming languages such as C++ and Python, as well as DevSecOps tools and practices.\nProven experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).\nMust possess Security+ CE or Linux+ certifications.\nExpertise in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and DevSecOps practices.\nStrong knowledge of DoD cybersecurity compliance frameworks, including RMF and NIST 800-53.\nProficiency in containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-native architectures.\nStrong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.\nAbout Us\nDiné Development Corporation (DDC) is a Navajo Nation‑owned family of companies that provides government agencies and commercial organizations with high‑quality IT, professional, environmental, and research and development services.
