For more information, please visit www.chaosinc.com.\n\nRole Overview\nWe're looking for a hands-on Construction Superintendent to lead field execution of build-outs, tenant improvements, and capital projects across CHAOS's entire multi-site manufacturing, lab, and office portfolio. This role requires regular travel across CHAOS's portfolio of sites to oversee concurrent projects, with time allocated based on active job site needs. The ideal candidate thrives managing multiple concurrent job sites in a fast-scaling environment, brings deep trade and code knowledge, and can operate with minimal existing infrastructure while helping build the FM program’s construction standards.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nManage day-to-day field execution of construction, tenant improvement, and capital projects across CHAOS's manufacturing, lab, and office facilities.\n\nServe as primary on-site point of contact for general contractors, subcontractors, architects, and engineers; run pre-construction, progress, and closeout meetings.\n\nReview and enforce adherence to construction documents, specifications, applicable building codes and local AHJ/permit requirements.\n\nTrack project schedules and budgets; flag risks, delays, and change orders to the Director of Facilities and executive stakeholders with supporting documentation.\n\nManage RFIs, submittals, and quality control walkthroughs; maintain punch lists through substantial completion and final closeout.\n\nCoordinate job site safety compliance (OSHA, EHS protocols) and enforce contractor safety plans across active work areas.\n\nPartner with the FM SME superintendent group to sequence trade work and validate building systems tie-ins during construction.\n\nCoordinate with EHS/Compliance and cleared personnel on any build requirements touching secure or classified spaces, without independently managing classified scope.\n\nMaintain organized, audit-ready project documentation: contracts, drawings, RFIs, submittals, inspection records, and closeout packages.\n\nSupport acquisition due diligence and onboarding of new sites by assessing physical condition, code compliance gaps, and buildout scope.\n\nMinimum Requirements\n\n10-15+ years experience as a construction superintendent or equivalent field leadership role on commercial or industrial projects.\n\nExperience managing tenant improvement and capital build-out projects from pre-construction through closeout.\n\nWorking knowledge of applicable building codes and permit/AHJ processes\n\nAbility to read and interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings and specifications.\n\nProven experience coordinating general contractors, subcontractors, and multiple trades on concurrent job sites\n\nOSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain)\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\n\nRegular travel required (typically 25-50% higher during active build phases) across CHAOS's multi-site portfolio\n\nPreferred Requirements\n\nExperience with manufacturing, lab, or cleanroom environments.\n\nExperience working on defense, government, or other secure-facility contractor sites\n\nFamiliarity with SCIF/ICD 705 construction requirements or willingness to work alongside cleared personnel on secure builds\n\nExperience coordinating BAS/BMS and controls contractors on mechanical/electrical systems tie-ins.\n\nExperience with construction project management\n\nEligibility for a U.S government security clearance\n\nWhy CHAOS?\n\nHealth Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision benefits 100% paid for by the company\n\nAdditional benefits: 401k (+ 50% company match up to 6% of pay), FSA, HSA, life insurance, and more\n\nOur Perks: Free daily lunch, 'No meeting Fridays', unlimited PTO, casual dress code\n\nCompensation Components: Competitive base salaries, generous pre-IPO stock option grants, relocation assistance, and (coming soon!) annual bonuses\n\nTeam Growth: 350 employees and counting across 5 global offices\n\nSalary Range: $150,000 - $190,000\n\nThe stated compensation range reflects only the targeted base compensation range and excludes additional earnings such as bonus, equity, and benefits.
