Fire Alarm and Suppression Technician Trainee
SUMMARY:
Assists Technicians in the field with service, inspection and testing of fire alarm and suppression systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Read and learn NFPA 72 and NEC 70 in an effort to obtain NICET Certification and skill set needed to advance and become a Fire Alarm Foreman.
Inspect and test fire alarm and fire suppression systems
Identify fire alarm deficiencies
Assist Fire Alarm Foreman and or project lead with installation of conduit, low voltage wiring, control panels, and other fire alarm equipment.
Understanding the relationship between volts, amps, current, and resistance as well as AC and DC Current.
Proper customer service and communication with internal and external customers
Travel between customer sites daily
Other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Training, Certifications:
NICET certification is a plus
Certification in similar low voltage scope a plus
HS Diploma or equivalent required.
Drivers License required
Experience, Knowledge, Skill Requirements:
Prior experience/training in fire alarm or similar a plus.
