This role is responsible for machine setup, make-ready, quality inspections, troubleshooting, operator-level maintenance, production documentation, and supporting production team members.\n\nThe ideal candidate has hands-on experience operating gluing equipment in a folding carton manufacturing environment, strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n* Set up, adjust, operate, and troubleshoot gluing machines, glue extrusion units, case packers, and related equipment.\n* Perform machine make-readies, line clearances, first-article inspections, in-process quality checks, and final production verification.\n* Read and interpret job tickets, production orders, specifications, and quality requirements.\n* Monitor carton quality, production counts, case-pack quantities, and job completion requirements.\n* Accurately document production output, waste, downtime, and job completion information.\n* Direct and support feeders, catchers, packers, and case stackers to maintain efficient workflow and production standards.\n* Perform operator-level troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, minor repairs, equipment inspections, and routine cleaning.\n* Monitor production efficiency and minimize waste through process adjustments, carton rework, and salvage when appropriate.\n* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area throughout the shift.\n* Follow all safety policies, GMP requirements, quality standards, and supervisor instructions.\n* Communicate production concerns, equipment issues, quality problems, and shift activities to supervisors and team members.\n* Train and support production team members as needed.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\n* 3+ years of experience operating gluing or finishing equipment, preferably in a folding carton manufacturing environment.\n* Experience setting up and operating gluing machines for side-seam, auto-bottom, reverse-fold, and window cartons.\n* Experience working with various substrates, coatings, and laminates, including foil, UV, and aqueous coatings.\n* Experience operating glue extrusion units and case-packing equipment.\n* Strong understanding of folding carton manufacturing and gluing processes.\n* Ability to read and interpret job tickets, production orders, specifications, and quality standards.\n* Knowledge of quality inspection procedures, first-article inspections, line clearances, and production documentation.\n* Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs.\n* Strong math skills for measuring, counting, and verifying production quantities.\n* Basic computer skills for production reporting and documentation.\n* Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.\n* Ability to work effectively as part of a production team and provide direction to support personnel.\n* Strong commitment to safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n* 3–5 years of folding carton manufacturing experience.\n* Experience with Jagenberg Diana, Bobst Expertfold, SCM-850, or SCM gluing equipment.\n* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and waste-reduction practices.\n* Forklift certification.\n* Previous experience training or mentoring production team members.\n\nEquipment & Tools\n\n* Jagenberg Diana\n* Bobst Expertfold\n* SCM-850\n* SCM gluing equipment\n* Glue extrusion units\n* Case-packing equipment\n* Hand tools and measuring devices\n\nPay: $23.00 -
