The Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing, integrating, and optimizing cloud-native solutions across our BPaaS environment. This role requires deep expertise in cloud platforms, DevOps practices, middleware integration (Informatica, MuleSoft, or Edifecs), and strong network/security design to ensure scalable, secure, and compliant solutions that align with client and program requirements.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\n\r\nArchitecture & Design\r\nDefine and maintain the overall architecture blueprint for the BPaaS environment, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.\r\nDesign and implement integration patterns using middleware gateways (Edifecs, Informatica, MuleSoft) to support enterprise connectivity.\r\nTranslate business and technical requirements into detailed architecture and solution designs.\r\nCloud & DevOps Enablement\r\nLead adoption and optimization of cloud-native services (Azure, AWS, or GCP) for application hosting, integration, and data services.\r\nPartner with DevOps teams to establish CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automated deployment strategies.\r\nImplement high-availability, disaster recovery, and capacity planning solutions.\r\nIntegration & Middleware\r\nOversee configuration and performance optimization of integration gateways (e.g., Edifecs XEngine/IG, MuleSoft API Gateway, Informatica).\r\nCollaborate with internal and external teams to ensure smooth partner-to-partner and system-to-system integrations.\r\nDefine governance standards for APIs, data exchange, and message transformation.\r\nNetwork & Security\r\nProvide guidance on enterprise network architecture, including routing, VPN, and firewall design.\r\nEnsure compliance with HIPAA, SOC2, and other regulatory standards by embedding security best practices into solution design.\r\nPartner with InfoSec to implement identity/access management, encryption, and monitoring frameworks.\r\nStakeholder Engagement\r\nCollaborate with business, technical, and vendor stakeholders to align solution designs with program objectives.\r\nPresent architectural options and recommendations to leadership and client teams.\r\nProvide mentorship and technical guidance to development, infrastructure, and operations teams.\r\n\r\nQualifications\r\nEducation & Experience\r\n\r\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR 10-15 years of progressive IT architecture/solution design experience in lieu of a degree.\r\n8+ years of IT architecture and solution design experience, including 3+ years in cloud and BPaaS environments.\r\nHands-on experience with middleware/integration tools (Informatica, MuleSoft, Edifecs).\r\nStrong background in DevOps, CI/CD, IaC (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).\r\nProven experience in network architecture, VPNs, load balancers, firewalls, and enterprise connectivity.\r\nSecurity architecture experience (IAM, encryption, audit logging) highly desirable.\r\n\r\nSkills & Competencies\r\n\r\nDeep understanding of cloud architectures (Azure, AWS, or GCP).\r\nExpertise in middleware/API management platforms.\r\nStrong knowledge of networking protocols and enterprise integration patterns.\r\nFamiliarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOC2, HITRUST).\r\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\r\nAbility to operate in a fast-paced, multi-vendor environment.\r\n\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\n\r\nExperience with Edifecs middleware suite (XEngine, IG, TM).\r\nBackground in healthcare payer systems or BPaaS environments.\r\nCertifications: AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, etc.","company":"Firstsource Solutions","rawCompany":"firstsource solutions","city":"Remote","state":"OR","isRemote":false,"isActive":false,"createdAt":"2026-05-02T19:15:57.384Z","occupations":[{"code":"15-1299.08","title":"Computer Systems Engineers/Architects","slug":"computer-systems-engineers-architects"},{"code":"15-1211.00","title":"Computer Systems Analysts","slug":"computer-systems-analysts"},{"code":"15-1252.00","title":"Software Developers","slug":"software-developers"}],"industries":[{"code":"541512","title":"Computer Systems Design Services","slug":"computer-systems-design-services"},{"code":"541511","title":"Custom Computer Programming Services","slug":"custom-computer-programming-services"},{"code":"513210","title":"Software Publishers","slug":"software-publishers"}],"jobPosting":{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"JobPosting","title":"Solutions Architect","description":"Position Overview\r\nWe are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to join our BPaaS (Business Process as a Service) technology team.
