{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"63802de41d3cc4e9f960e4cc","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/63802de41d3cc4e9f960e4cc","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/63802de41d3cc4e9f960e4cc","title":"Program Coordinator","description":"Under the supervision of the Program Manager the Program Coordinator will have responsibility for carrying out the day-to-day functions of their assigned home.\r\nThis includes securing the well-being and safety of individuals with disabilities which requires; assisting individuals with personal care and daily living skills; training and supervision of Direct Support staff; maintaining house/site facilities; and a broad range of program wide administrative tasks within designated area.\r\nTravel by car is necessary and a great deal of time will be spent in individual houses/sites.\r\nThis position requires the ability to work where needed within the Tri-County area.\r\nIn addition, responding to emergencies during and after hours, on weekends, and holidays is required when applicable.\r\nSchedule planning and review\r\nMaintaining adequate staffing ratios\r\nApprove leave/timecard review and submit to Program Manager for review\r\nFill in for staff when needed to cover the shifts\r\nAssist the Program Manager with interviewing and hiring of potential direct support staff\r\nProvides individualized orientation to new staff members, mentors and provides appropriate/constructive feedback, when applicable\r\nAssures adherence to policies and procedures through training feedback\r\nDelegating and assigning duties to DSPs\r\nEnsuring review/ signatures of all plans (nursing, behavior, etc.)\r\nMonitoring electronic health record for case notes and documentation (client dashboard)\r\nAll assigned tasks are completed daily and logged accurately\r\nComplete house inspections/fire drills and monthly attendance\r\nCoordinate/facilitate house meetings\r\nEnsures that homes operate appropriately and within budgetary guidelines as well as maintains the highest possible quality of living standards\r\nEnsures that in house consumer monthly finances (cash on hand) is managed appropriately\r\nMonitoring to not exceed given amount for benefits (spending as needed when determined by manager)\r\nResponsible for maintaining appropriate budgetary responsibility for Impress account (food) and SNAP (individual food account) Documentation\r\nComplete the PCP in the electronic health record for review\r\nTraining staff on all Plans\r\nReview all incident reports for accuracy and corrections before submitting for review\r\nResponsible for all medical appointments/paperwork\r\nPrimarily responsible for tracking, carrying out and documenting all medical appointments for the individuals, delegating to DSP as needed\r\nSchedule and plan activities for consumers to participate in weekly/monthly\r\nDuring emergencies, Manager for coverage while assisting at the hospital\r\nMonitors routine and emergency medical/dental services and medication reviews as appropriate\r\nEnsures that DSPs monitors (to ensure proper nutritional value) and/or consumer hygiene practices\r\nModels initiative and creative problem solving\r\nDemonstrates appropriate workplace behavior, modeling the agency's core philosophy\r\nDemonstrates role model behavior\r\nMaintains confidentiality in relation to individuals and staff issues.\r\nRequirements Possesses a High School Diploma or equivalency is required. However, an Associate Degree in human services or related field is preferred.\r\nTwo years of progressively responsible experience working with people with developmental and intellectual disabilities or a combination of education and experience equivalent to this requirement\r\nMust be personable, energetic and have strong communication skills, both orally and in writing.\r\nMust have knowledge of community resources available\r\nMust have strong interpersonal skills\r\nWillingness to work anywhere within the Tri-County area (Calvert, Charles and St. Mary's counties) as needed.\r\nCustomer service-oriented\r\nComputer skills (familiar with Microsoft Office applications)\r\nHas a good command of the English language both oral and written and demonstrates these skills.\r\nPossesses a valid driving license with a good driving record, and access to a safe vehicle (must pass agency sponsored inspection) for transporting people receiving services.\r\nPossesses the ability to pass the criminal background check mandated by the State of Maryland.\r\nCore Competencies Demonstrates strong leadership and organizational skills in managing daily operations and staff training within residential programs for individuals with disabilities.
