{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"6378a2d3fa5c61128d6ceb9d","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/6378a2d3fa5c61128d6ceb9d","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/6378a2d3fa5c61128d6ceb9d","title":"Process Engineer - Facet Coating & Bar Stack/Unstack","description":"Process Engineer – Facet Coating & Bar Stack/Unstack\nSherman, TX, United States (On-site)\n\nJob Description\nPrimary Duties & Responsibilities\n\nDevelop facet coating and bar stack/unstack processes for new semiconductor laser devices.\n\nSustain production processes in the facet coating and bar stack/unstack areas.\n\nSupport associated metrology equipment pertinent to facet coating and bar stack/unstack processing.\n\nMonitors SPC data and maintains process control.\n\nMaintains process stepwise yield and investigates yield issues in the unit process and is tasked with developing/implementing corrective actions.\n\nCharacterize/optimize process and develop CTRL plan and OCAP.\n\nWorks on developing continuous improvement processes/activities to reduce scrap, improve process capability, reduce cost as well as decrease cycle time.\n\nResponsible for writing process specification documentation.\n\nTrains Process Technicians on unit-processes.\n\nCollaborates with other functional groups, including Operations, Equipment Engineering, Process Integration, Design, Supply Chain, etc. to achieve business unit/organizational objectives.\n\nEducation & Experience\n\nA Bachelors’ degree in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Sciences or a closely related science or engineering major and at least 7 years of experience in the semiconductor industry or a Master degree and 5 years of industry experience or a PhD degree with 3 years of industry experience.\n\nIndium Phosphide semiconductor processing or optoelectronics device experience preferred.\n\nSkills\n\nKnowledge of general semiconductor wafer processing and engineering practices.\n\nKnowledge of facet coating and bar stack/unstack processing and technologies.\n\nKnowledge of engineering statistics.\n\nKnowledge of semiconductor lasers is preferred.\n\nGood written/oral communication skill.\n\nFluency in MS Office suite as well as JMP or other statistics software.\n\nStrong interpersonal, teaming, and problem-solving skills.\n\nWork effectively with other members of Coherent Corp.\n\nWorking Conditions\n\nWork in a class 100/1000 clean room for extended periods\n\nWear full cleanroom attire (smock, mask, etc.)\n\nWork with and/or around chemicals (such as solvents and acids)\n\nPhysical Requirements\n\nStand for up to 4 hours at a time\n\nLift up to 16-30 Pounds\n\nPush/Pull up to 16-30 pounds\n\nSit for up to 4 hours at a time\n\nSafety Requirements\n\nEveryone must follow the site EHS procedures and the II-VI Corporate EHS standards.\n\nCapable of working with laser safety goggle on for extended time.\n\nAll employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
