{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"635fe9ba97dc365b3d233a9e","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/635fe9ba97dc365b3d233a9e","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/635fe9ba97dc365b3d233a9e","title":"Material Handler","description":"Ready to be part of something special?\nJoin our Family!\n\nReady to be part of something special?\nJoin our Family!\n\nThis position opening is available for 3rd shift starting weekly on Monday's.\n\nShift hours are Monday - Thursday, with overtime as required, from 6:45PM - 5:15AM.\n\n$28.48/hour plus $0.55/hour shift differential\n\nPrimary Job Responsibilities:\n\nAttaches case identifiers to materials and identifying information to pallet; transports finished product to and from warehouse staging area.\n\nOperates material handling equipment safely and efficiently to minimize risk to personnel and damage to inventory and equipment.\n\nDemonstrates safe work practices to prevent on the job injuries by following all company and OSHA safety regulations.\n\nPerforms accurate and timely record keeping, including but not limited to; production recording and data collection information; direct issues components and reconciles work orders where appropriate.\n\nFollows all standard operating procedures. Performs changeover and set up for production runs.\n\nCounts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily work order.\n\nReads work order\\schedule specifications to determine work procedures and material requirements.\n\nAssures that material transferred and placed for use on packaging lines is accurate and timely. This includes, but is not limited to raw goods, packaging materials, containers, caps, etc.\n\nMoves work materials from mezzanine to production line, dumps product into bin and or vibratory feeder, using pallet jacks, hand reach lift, electric hoist, electric or air barrel dumpers; operates palletizing and de-palletizing equipment.\n\nRecycles all materials including, but not limited to, cardboard, plastic, shrink wrap, and paper.\n\nPerforms routine battery changes on forklifts.\n\nAssists in the training of new Material Handlers and ongoing training of current employees.\n\nCommunicates material handling/processing information to coworkers in a timely manner to ensure efficient operation of the production line.\n\nInspects machinery/equipment and work floor conditions to ensure compliance with company safety and sanitation standards.\n\nVisually inspects all incoming materials and outgoing product to maintain company quality standards.\n\nIdentifies daily production problems by observing machine operation, reading schedules/work orders and reporting information to appropriate supervisory staff.\n\nMonitors and audits material inventory and informs supervisor of needs or discrepancies.\n\nPerforms other duties as assigned – not an essential function.\n\nSkills, Knowledge & Abilities:\n\nPossess a high school diploma or GED.\n\nOnsite training specific to job responsibilities.\n\nMust obtain forklift certification.\n\nSign off on the Material Handler qualification checklists, lock-out tag-out, following appropriate training.\n\nSkill in operating material moving equipment in a safe and conscientious manner.\n\nPerforms basic math operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).\n\nAbility to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.\n\nAbility to work as a productive member of a team.\n\nAbility to work at a rapid pace for continuous periods of time.\n\nAbility to organize and work on multiple tasks concurrently.\n\nAbility to deal effectively with persons representing widely divergent backgrounds, interests, and points of view.\n\nCommunicates effectively with plant personnel in a courteous and cooperative manner.\n\nSQF:\n\nResponsible for reporting any food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.\n\nResponsible for following cGMP’s\n\nResponsible for maintaining cleanliness and good housekeeping\n\nEnsure all food safety and quality records are completed accurately and timely\n\nFollow all appropriate equipment cleaning procedures.\n\nThis position is in a manufacturing plant environment, works around moving mechanical parts, is exposed to airborne particles, and works around motorized vehicles.\n\nMust be able to lift up to 80lbs\n\nPhysical Requirements:\n\nHearing, speaking: Continuously.
