Agriculture Resource Technician

Agriculture Resource Technician The Warren County Conservation District is seeking qualified applicants to coordinate and apply the resources available to achieve local conservation and agricultural goals and administer the PA Nutrient Management Program (Act 38), Manure Management, Ag E&S, and Agriculture Conservation Assistance Program. This position requires a highly motivated individual to establish effective working relationships with the farm community and landowners for soil and water conservation and for agriculture education. The position will also work with county agriculture producers to implement conservation practices and best management practices on farms. Qualified candidates should have an Associate’s degree in Environmental and related Sciences or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience providing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Knowledge of production agriculture is desirable. Candidates should have the ability to traverse difficult outdoor terrain, able to work in adverse weather conditions and a valid PA driver’s license is required. Must obtain and maintain certification in accordance with PA Act 38.
