The Production Supervisor is required to support the growth of a National Packaging Company. The candidate selected for this position must have an entrepreneurial spirit and must have experience with all operational functions within a high-volume production facility including extensive production floor management and direct contact with our customers. At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role is required.\nThe Production Supervisor will be responsible for: safety, maintaining the production workflow, as well as the production line set-up and labor utilization. Also, they must also drive Continuous Improvement, control labor costs during each shift, and display strong communication skills. If you have a passion for developing and scoping value-driven services that lead to successful customer projects - then we are looking for you!\nREPORTS TO: General Manager\nESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:\nAccomplishes project results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.\nMaintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.\nMaintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.\nCompletes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.\nMaintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.\nEnsures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.\nProvides information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.\nCreates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change.\nMaintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.\nResolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.\nContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.\nDISCLAIMER: This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, skills, efforts, requirements or working conditions associated with the job.
