This role provides workplace readiness training, professional development instruction, and individualized coaching to help neurodiverse and disabled individuals build confidence, strengthen employability skills, and prepare for meaningful employment opportunities. The Professional Development Instructor plays an important role in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment that promotes growth, independence, and career success.\nIf you are passionate about helping others grow, enjoy teaching and mentoring, and want a career where you can make a meaningful impact every day, this could be the role for you. We are looking for adaptable, proactive, and creative professionals who are excited to empower neurodiverse individuals through engaging instruction, coaching, and career-focused support.\n________________________________________\nWhat You’ll Do\nDevelop and deliver professional development curriculum tailored to neurodiverse participants\nFacilitate workshops on resume writing, interview preparation, communication skills, workplace etiquette, and career readiness\nProvide oneonone coaching and individual support to participants\nCollaborate with instructors and program staff to integrate professional development into technical training\nMonitor participant progress and provide ongoing feedback and guidance\nMaintain and update instructional materials, presentations, and training resources\nCreate an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment\nSupport participant confidence, independence, and workplace success\nPerform other duties as assigned\n________________________________________\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in education, Human Resources, or related field preferred; Master’s preferred\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in professional development training, education, coaching, or workforce development or 5 years of military experience required\nExperience working with neurodiverse individuals or diverse learning populations strongly preferred\nStrong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills\nAbility to adapt instruction to multiple learning styles and participant needs\nStrong organizational and time management skills\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Canva, Canvas, or other learning management systems (LMS)\nValid driver’s license required\n________________________________________\nWork Environment and Physical Requirements\nThis role operates in classroom, training, office, and community-based environments. The position requires frequent interaction with participants, staff, and stakeholders and includes both group instruction and one-on-one coaching.\nResponsibilities may include standing for extended periods, movement between training locations, and lifting instructional materials up to 25 lbs.
