FORENSIC ACCOUNTING & BUSINESS VALUATION ASSOCIATE

We work closely with individuals, business owners, and their advisors—often in the context of litigation, marital dissolution, or complex financial disputes—to investigate and analyze financial data, provide independent valuations, and deliver clear, supportable conclusions. Our team provides end-to-end litigation support, including consulting through discovery and, when needed, expert witness testimony, as well as collaborative-law financial neutral services.THE OPPORTUNITYWe are seeking a Staff or Senior Associate to support our forensic accounting and business valuation engagements. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with up to two years of public accounting experience or relevant experience in family-law financial matters who wants to build deep expertise in financial investigations, analysis, and valuation work in a client-facing consulting environment. We offer a flexible, hybrid work model. WHAT YOU'LL DOYou will work across both forensic accounting and valuation engagements. However, the current need is more driven toward forensic accounting engagements with increasing ownership as you develop in the role.Forensic Accounting (Divorce / Domestic Financial Consulting)• Prepare marital asset and debt schedules and supporting documentation. • Perform tracing analyses to determine marital vs. separate components of investment and retirement accounts. • Prepare standard-of-living and cash flow/spending analyses. • Support clients and attorneys in preparing financial disclosures (e.g., Affidavits of Financial Standing) and related documentation. • Trace and quantify spending for non-marital purposes and other disputed transactions. • Assist with pension valuation analyses and related deliverablesBusiness Valuation• Input and normalize financial data within business valuation models. • Support valuation analyses across a variety of engagement types (litigation, planning, advisory). • Draft and format business valuation reports and exhibits; assist with revisions based on internal review.QUALIFICATIONSWe welcome candidates from multiple backgrounds. This role may be a fit if you have:Education / Experience • Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Accounting or Finance; and up to two years of public accounting experience (audit/tax/consulting), or • 4–6 years of relevant experience in a family-law setting with a strong emphasis on the financial aspects of divorce/separation matters. Skills • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word (clean workpapers, schedules, basic formulas, formatting). • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to organize complex information clearly. • Professional writing and communication skills; comfort working with sensitive client matters. • Interest in and willingness to learn new tools and technologies. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE• Deliver accurate, well-organized schedules and workpapers that tie out and are review-ready. • Communicate clearly with teammates and clients; meet deadlines in a fast-moving, detail-intensive environment. • Develop comfort with valuation and forensic methodologies and contribute meaningfully to client deliverables. BENEFITS / WHAT YOU'LL GET• 401(k) match• Health insurance• Paid Time Off• Hybrid work environment (Typically 2 – 3 days in the office, 2 – 3 days at home)• Exposure to expert-witness work / litigation support • Mentorship / Training (in house and also paid external education opportunities) • Growth opportunities  HOW TO APPLYInterested?
