If you're passionate about this, we want to hear from you!\n\nAbout the Role\nMWH is currently seeking a Mechanical Superintendent to support the construction of a Water Treatment Plant located in the Gresham, OR area. This project will be the first of its kind and ultimately supply 135 million gallons of water a day to the Portland community. This position is a great opportunity to be a part of a historic infrastructure and filtration project and see it through the entire project delivery life cycle, from groundbreaking to closeout.\n\nAs the Lead Mechanical Superintendent, you will have overall responsibility for the process mechanical installation on the project and supervision of the installation subcontractor to ensure that the installed work aligns with the overall project implementation plan, focusing on safety, quality, project schedule and cost control. Ensure all work is completed per the engineering requirements detailed in the project documents. You will review and approve subcontractor construction plans, supervise activities, and coordinate work among different subcontractors while maintaining communication with engineering and project management teams.\n\nEssential Functions\n\nEnsure the safety of your crews.\n\nReview and approve subcontractor construction schedule including overall and short interval schedules.\n\nReview and approve subcontractor work plans.\n\nEnsure each subcontractor's long lead equipment will meet scheduled installation dates.\n\nAssist with reviewing Subcontractor BIM information developed for the project.\n\nReview and approve all mechanical construction activities, ensuring adherence to project technical requirements.\n\nCoordinate subcontractor activities with other discipline subcontractors and liaise with engineering and project management teams.\n\nAssist in resolving construction problems and ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications.\n\nReview shop drawings and submittals related to mechanical work.\n\nManage field inspections and ensure quality control and assurance standards for ongoing work phases.\n\nPlan and coordinate field testing and inspections with the QA/QC staff per contract requirements.\n\nDocument compliance with quality control procedures and report non-compliance issues.\n\nMonitor safety compliance of site personnel and subcontractors, ensuring corrective measures are taken.\n\nAdhere to company health and safety policies to maintain a safe work environment.\n\nAttend progress meetings and provide updates on project status and quality control measures.\n\nPerform additional assignments as directed by project management.\n\nManage subcontractor crane needs and their safety while using the crane.\n\nBasic Qualifications\n\nMinimum of 15 years of relevant construction industry & supervision experience.\n\nPrior experience and familiarity with the current standards for process mechanical in the water infrastructure environment.\n\nThorough understanding of construction safety, quality control and contract management is necessary.\n\nCompensation\n\nAnticipated annual salary range is $140,000 - $160,000 based on experience.\n\nMWH Constructors is a global project delivery company in heavy civil construction with a focus on water and wastewater treatment infrastructure.
