Construction Laborer
We are seeking a General Laborer to assist with basement waterproofing and structural foundation repair projects across the greater Fort Wayne area.The ideal candidate is dependable, shows up on time, works hard, and is willing to learn a specialized trade with real long-term earning potential. No prior waterproofing experience is preferred but not required. A strong work ethic and a positive attitude are non-negotiables.Scope of WorkGeneral Laborers assist in the installation and repair of the following systems:Basement Waterproofing SystemsInterior drain tile systemsSump pumps and discharge linesCrawl space encapsulation and vapor barriersDehumidifiersExterior excavation and foundation waterproofingCrack repairs and sealantsStructural Foundation RepairsInstallation of concrete piersWall anchors and steel bracing systemsCarbon fiber reinforcement systemsConcrete breaking (jackhammer), removal, and replacementFooter preparation and backfillingConcrete wall form installation and bracingKey ResponsibilitiesDaily Field WorkDig trenches, break concrete, and remove debris using jackhammers, shovels, and hand toolsOperate power tools including rotary hammers, angle grinders, reciprocating saws, and wet/dry vacuumsAssist with lifting and placing heavy materials — concrete, stone, steel beams, pipe, and equipmentLoad and unload trucks; organize tools and materials at the start and end of each dayAssist with excavation, backfilling, and site grading as directedSupport installation of waterproofing systems, drainage components, and structural repair productsJob Site StandardsFollow all instructions from the Foreman promptly and without hesitationMaintain a clean, organized, and professional job site throughout the workdayAssist with job site setup at the start of the day and full cleanup at close-outHandle tools and materials with care, reporting any damage, loss, or malfunction to the Foreman immediatelyRepresent Interior Channel professionally in front of customers and on all job sitesSafetyWear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all timesFollow all safety protocols and site-specific procedures as directed by the ForemanReport any unsafe conditions, near-misses, or injuries to the Foreman immediatelyParticipate in pre-job safety briefings and follow all containment and shutdown proceduresQualificationsRequiredStrong work ethic and positive, team-first attitudePunctual and dependableAbility to follow directions and take instruction from the ForemanAbility to read a tape measure and use basic hand and power toolsMust have reliable transportation to and from the warehouseValid driver's license requiredAbility to pass a background check and/or drug screeningPreferredPrior construction, labor, or trade experience (waterproofing, concrete, excavation, landscaping, etc.)Familiarity with power tools and job site equipmentBilingual (English/Spanish) a plusPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift 75+ lbs consistently throughout the workdayComfortable working in confined spaces, crawl spaces, and damp or wet environmentsAble to work outdoors in all weather conditions year-roundCapable of repetitive bending, digging, kneeling, and lifting for extended periodsAble to stand and perform physical labor for the full duration of a workday#ZRWe may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
