This role ensures production areas remain stocked, finished goods are prepared for shipment, and inventory is accurately picked and organized using paper pick sheets and, in the future, RF scanners.ResponsibilitiesMove raw materials and finished products throughout the warehouse, shipping, and receiving areas using sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks.Keep production and assembly areas stocked with the correct materials to support continuous machine and assembly line operation.Use paper pick sheets to locate, pick, and stage smaller parts and materials accurately for production and assembly.Support the transition from paper pick sheets to an RF scanner system by accurately following new processes and using handheld devices once implemented.Create Bills of Lading (BOLs) for outbound shipments and coordinate with carriers for LTL and truckload shipments as needed.When working in receiving, unload truckloads of material and organize them in the correct locations within the receiving area.Tag and label received materials accurately to ensure proper identification and traceability.Respond to requests from supervisors for specific materials by locating, retrieving, and delivering them to the appropriate machines or workstations.When working in the warehouse near the assembly department, review pick sheets to determine material requirements for the assembly area.Use a forklift to retrieve the correct pallets of material, perform order picking to gather required items, and build pallets for delivery to the assembly area.Assist the shipping department with preparing, staging, and loading outbound shipments as needed.Perform cycle counts during downtime to help maintain accurate inventory records.Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area within the warehouse, shipping, and receiving departments.Essential SkillsProven material handling experience in a warehouse, shipping, or receiving environment.Hands-on experience with order picking using paper pick sheets.Forklift experience, including stand-up or sit-down forklifts, with safe and efficient operation.Ability to operate pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment.Proficiency using computers to support shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks.Experience with shipping processes, including preparing shipping documentation and working with carriers, is strongly preferred.Capability to perform shipping and receiving tasks such as loading, unloading, and organizing materials.Comfort working with or learning RF scanner systems for inventory and picking.Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate picking, tagging, and inventory handling.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, including reading pick sheets and responding to material requests.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience creating Bills of Lading (BOLs) for outbound shipments.Experience coordinating with LTL and truckload carriers.Experience in inventory control, including performing cycle counts.Experience operating reach trucks in addition to sit-down forklifts.General labor experience in an industrial or warehouse setting.Familiarity with shipping and receiving best practices.Willingness to assist across departments, including shipping, receiving, and assembly support.Why Work Here?You will work in a modern facility that opened within the past few years, offering a clean and updated environment.
