This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the growth and stability of our organization through expert financial management and team mentorship.\nDuties\nManage employees and operations\nPrepare, analyze, and interpret complex financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other regulatory standards.\nManage general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation.\nOversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.\nConduct cash flow analysis, bank reconciliations, and budgeting to support organizational financial health.\nEnsure compliance with SOX, LIHTC regulations, securities law, governmental accounting standards, and other relevant legal requirements.\nUtilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, and other financial tools for accurate bookkeeping and reporting.\nPrepare regulatory reports and assist with auditing processes to ensure transparency and accountability.\nLead financial report writing and interpretation to inform strategic decision-making by executive leadership.\nManage payroll processing and related tax filings with experience in tax regulations.\nDevelop financial forecasts, perform variance analysis, and support budgeting initiatives.\nMentor junior staff or team members in technical accounting practices, including accrual accounting, double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and general ledger management.\nSupport organizational growth through financial analysis related to private equity investments or other funding sources.\nQualifications\nProven experience in corporate accounting with a strong understanding of GAAP, GAAS, or other relevant standards.\nExpertise in financial software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms.\nKnowledge of SOX compliance, securities law, governmental accounting standards, and technical accounting principles.\nStrong background in financial statement preparation, account reconciliation (including bank reconciliation), journal entries, and balance sheet management.\nExperience with regulatory reporting requirements and auditing processes.\nExcellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data for strategic planning.\nDemonstrated leadership skills with mentoring or supervising finance teams or staff members.\nFamiliarity with tax regulations related to payroll and corporate finance.\nHigh level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and report generation.\nStrong understanding of financial concepts such as cash flow analysis, forecasting, budgeting, private equity considerations, and accrual accounting practices.
