The ideal candidate will provide engineering, integration, administration, and operational support for a software factory infrastructure and operations in a secure environment.\n\nThis role requires a proactive engineer with experience in multiple of the following areas: systems architecture, virtualization, automation, cybersecurity compliance, and enterprise operations. The selected candidate will work closely with government stakeholders, cybersecurity teams, and mission partners to ensure high availability, performance, and security across the environment.\n\nClearance: This position requires an active DOW/DoD Secret Clearance.\n\nResponsibilities & Duties\n\nDevelop and maintain a DevOps toolchain platform for a mission critical program\n\nProvide expertise to the platform's tenants for CI/CD pipeline implementations\n\nWork with tech leads and architects to contribute to solutions and on-site implementation requirements\n\nCollaborate with government stakeholders, and across other program DevOps teams\n\nProvide inputs to the technical solutions team\n\nTrack delivery assignments and follow up on direction, action items, questions, and documentation\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)\n\n3+ years of related professional experience (e.g., systems engineering, enterprise infrastructure experience, DevSecOps implementation)\n\nStrong experience with any or all of the following:\n\nRed Hat Enterprise Linux\n\nAWS and or Azure cloud environments\n\nAnsible, Python, or Terraform scripting experience\n\nAgile software development, CI/CD pipelines\n\nContainers and container security\n\nExperience supporting DOW/DoD or federal government environments\n\nUnderstanding of RMF, STIGs, ACAS, and DOW/DoD cybersecurity policies\n\nActive Security+ CE or equivalent DoD 8570/8140 certification\n\nCASP+\n\nActive Secret clearance required\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nFirm understanding of SDLC (systems development lifecycle)\n\nFamiliarity with Kubernetes implementations\n\nInfrastructure as Code (IaC), Python\n\nHelm charts, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, Bash, or YAML\n\nSystems administration experience\n\nExperience supporting large-scale enterprise or mission systems within DISA environments\n\nDesired Skills\n\nStrong research and analytical skills\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\n\nAbility to work independently in fast-paced mission environments\n\nStrong customer engagement and stakeholder coordination experience\n\nProven ability to manage competing priorities and operational deadlines\n\nAbout NextGen\nNextGen Federal Systems is an innovative technology and professional services provider specializing in advanced software solutions and comprehensive mission and business support services.
