License & Certification Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association required Active Colorado DORA Surgical Tech Registration required Highly preferred certifications: SGNA Associates Program and/or Advanced Associates Program IAHCSMM Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) Job Summary The Endoscopy/GI Tech assists nursing staff and physicians during GI procedures while ensuring efficient operation and preparation of endoscopic equipment. Responsibilities include disinfecting and processing scopes, procedure room setup, equipment troubleshooting, patient transport assistance, monitoring support, stocking supplies, and assisting patients with mobility and dressing needs. Important Notes Active Colorado DORA CST registration must be submitted with application AHA BLS certification copy required with submission Resume required with submission Traveler permanent residence must be at least 75 miles from facility Colorado CAPS background requirement applies and may take up to 2 weeks for processing Holiday coverage required EMR system: Meditech On-call rotation required Facility does not accept 1099 contractors Requirements Experience Requirements Minimum 2 years of Endoscopy/GI Tech experience required Advanced Endoscopy case experience required Must be comfortable assisting providers with complex/high-level GI procedures Experience with procedures including: Polypectomy Biopsies Screening exams ERCP Dilations
