The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving loads, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products within the plant, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions. Works well within the team setting, openly shares perspective in team meetings and contributes to discussions in a constructive manner. You will work onsite at our Assumption, IL facility.\n\nYour Impact\n\nFollow required safety and work procedures.\nUtilize forklift to receive, store or distribute material, tools, equipment, and products.\nUtilize the forklift to load finished goods onto van/flatbed trailer.\nUtilize Combi-Lift to transport/load long material.\nPrepare orders according to order and pallet requirements.\nCreate barcodes for part identification and accurately scan inventory in and out of the plant using RF and handheld scanners.\nReport inventory discrepancies to the Team Leader/Supervisor.\nMaintain a clean and orderly work area to 5S Standards.\nImplement all aspects of GSI Lean and Quality Management systems.\nOther responsibilities as assigned.\nYour Experience and Qualifications\n\nHigh school diploma or GED\nPrevious manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.\nPrevious Van/Flatbed loading experience preferred.\nSuccessful completion of GSI and OSHA forklift training required within one week of the start date.\nBasic computer skills.\nUnderstanding of how to use RF and handheld scanner as well as the ability to read a tape measure.\nAbility to read, write and use basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).\nStrong mechanical aptitude with the ability to follow precise instructions.\nAbility to communicate effectively with peers, managers and across departments.\nYour Compensation and Benefits\nExpected hourly rate for this role will be $17.79-$26.39, plus eligible for an annual bonus. This is dependent upon job related knowledge, experience, and skills.\n\nBenefits will include the ability to elect health care and wellness plans, dental and vision plans, flexible and virtual work options (where available), 401(k) Savings Plan with company match, paid holidays, paid time off, health savings and flexible spending accounts, reimbursement for continuing education, life insurance, and other supplemental insurance plans.\n\nThe employee works with and near large machinery and equipment daily. The employee is exposed to a variety of extreme conditions including temperatures ranging from 40°F to 105°F.\nThe physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions of this job.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or craw and frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands or arms. The employee must be able to stand for up to twelve hours per day.
