Your expertise in Linux, combined with a keen interest in cybersecurity, will be instrumental in supporting our mission to safeguard our digital assets.\nWhat You'll Get To Do:\nDesign and implement shell scripts to automate system maintenance tasks, enhancing efficiency and reliability.\nConfigure and manage system logging, including remote logging, to facilitate thorough log analysis for troubleshooting and security monitoring.\nEstablish and maintain networking services, including firewall configurations and SELinux policies, to ensure secure and optimized system performance.\nUtilize partitions and logical volumes to configure local storage solutions tailored to specific project requirements.\nDeploy, configure, and maintain systems, ensuring software installations, updates, and core services are managed effectively.\nApply a solid understanding of networking protocols (DNS, SMTP, DHCP) and utilize network troubleshooting tools (e.g. tcpdump, Traceroute, Ping, Netstat, nslookup) to diagnose and resolve issues.\nYou'll Bring These Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.\n7+ years of related experience in SEIM, network operations, network engineering, leading technology teams, leading operation cybersecurity teams, or a combination thereof.\nActive TS/SCI (required to obtain a CI Poly within 6 months of hire date)\nDOD 8570 IAT II certifications (CompTIA Security+ or equivalent)\nProven experience in Linux system administration, with a strong background in shell scripting and system automation.\nExpertise in configuring system logging, analyzing logs for troubleshooting, and implementing secure networking services.\nFamiliarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, CloudFormation, and Terraform is advantageous.\nExperience with automation tools like Ansible and version control systems such as GitHub/GitLab for script and code management.\nA proactive approach to system optimization and a continuous learning mindset to stay updated with the latest in Linux systems and cybersecurity.\nExcellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams to achieve system-related goals.\nRelated technical experience in network security technologies such as Juniper SRX, Palo Alto Firewall, F5 Load Balancer, Cisco FTD/ASA, Gigamon, FireEye, RSA Netwitness or others (NOTE: these specific tools are listed as examples; expertise in all of these are not expected)\nNice to Haves:\nCI Poly (required within 6 months)\nCSSP Infrastructure Support certifications, commonly CEH or CySA+ though there are several certs that qualify (required within 6 months)\n\nWe use Greenhouse Software as our applicant tracking system and Free Busy for HR screen request scheduling.
