Find your future with us.\nBoeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking Experienced Systems Analysts (Level 3) to join the team in Saint Louis, MO .\n\nWe are seeking detail-oriented and proactive Systems Analysts to be responsible for the comprehensive management of all software licenses within a proprietary program. These individuals will play a critical role in ensuring licensing compliance, optimizing license utilization, and supporting the program’s software needs, to include demand forecasting. The ideal candidates will possess a strong understanding of various licensing models, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with the technical teams, procurement, and vendors.\n\nPosition Responsibilities\n\nSoftware License Inventory and Tracking:\nEstablish and maintain a comprehensive and accurate inventory of all software licenses used within the program, including perpetual, subscription, cloud-based, open-source, and other licensing models.\nImplement and manage tools or processes for tracking license allocation, usage, and renewal dates.\nRegularly audit license counts and usage against procurement records and agreements.\n\nLicense Procurement and Renewal Support:\nAssist in the procurement process for new software licenses, working closely with procurement and technical teams to define requirements and evaluate options.\nMonitor license renewal dates and proactively initiate renewal processes, coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders.\nReview license agreements and terms and conditions to understand usage rights, restrictions, and compliance requirements.\n\nLicense Compliance and Risk Management:\nEnsure the program is compliant with all software license agreements and terms of service.\nIdentify and mitigate potential licensing risks, such as overuse, unauthorized use, or license expirations.\nSupport internal and external software audits by providing accurate and complete licensing information.\nDevelop and implement policies and procedures for software license usage and management within the program.\nLicense Optimization and Cost Management\nAnalyze license usage data to identify opportunities for optimization and cost savings.\nRecommend strategies for reallocating license, consolidating vendors, or exploring alternative licensing models.\nSupport the development of software licensing budgets and track expenditures.\n\nReporting and Communication:\nGenerate regular reports on license inventory, usage, compliance status, and upcoming renewals for program leadership and stakeholders.\nCommunicate effectively with technical teams, developers, and end-users regarding licensing policies, procedures, and updates\nServe as a point of contact for software license-related questions and issues.\nVendor Management\nBuild and maintain relationships with key software vendors.\nParticipate in vendor meetings to stay informed about licensing changes, new products, and best practices.\n\nTravel may be required up to 10% of the time; domestically and/or internationally depending on business needs.\n\nThis position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
