This role is crucial in providing key financial information to enable decision-making, and acts as the primary liaison to Disney Studio Accounting. Role is based in San Francisco and hybrid (onsite in San Francisco office with occasional work from home).\r\nKey Responsibilities Oversee all quarterly and adhoc financial reporting and submissions to Disney, ensuring compliance with GAAP and Disney corporate requirements.\r\nDrive continuous improvement and automation across the function to maximize efficiency.\r\nLead the Global Accounting Team and provide strategic direction, guidance, and mentorship.\r\nAnalyze financial results in collaboration with the FP&A Team.\r\nOversee accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, fixed assets and tax compliance.\r\nResearch technical accounting issues and work with Disney Accounting and internal teams as appropriate.\r\nManage revenue recognition process globally.\r\nEstablish and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity.\r\nPlan and lead internal and external audits.\r\nCommunicate financial matters to the executive team.\r\nPartner with the Production Accounting team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of project cost information.\r\nOversee complex transactions including consolidation accounting & intercompany eliminations and exchange rate impacts in a multi-currency environment.\r\nOversee regular analysis of Employee Benefit rates for each Studio and update as necessary.\r\nOversee data preparation for production and R&D tax incentives.\r\nMaintain the chart of accounts and accounting records.\r\nQualifications 5+ years of experience as a Controller with managerial experience for a multi-currency Global Company.\r\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or technical certifications (e.g., Oracle Cloud certifications, PMP) a plus.\r\nCPA (Certified Public Accountant); Big 4 US GAAP audit experience strongly preferred.\r\nExperience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle Cloud Financials (SAP experience is a plus).\r\nAbility to manage multiple concurrent projects, balance operational support with long-term initiatives, manage international teams, and work across diverse stakeholders including IT, finance, production, and corporate teams (e.g., Disney).\r\nDeep knowledge of international accounting and multi-entity consolidations.\r\nStrong documentation and communication skills, especially in change management and user enablement.\r\nThe hiring range for this position in San Francisco is $202,400-$247,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
