{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"624a8a61c8ec24d3fdc48d1c","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/624a8a61c8ec24d3fdc48d1c","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/624a8a61c8ec24d3fdc48d1c","title":"Quality Control Manager","description":"Openwork is assisting a well-established local manufacturing company in finding an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Control Manager to join their team in Concord, NC.\n\nThe Quality Control Manager will lead and oversee quality assurance and quality management activities, maintain and improve quality systems, ensure compliance with industry standards, and promote a culture of quality throughout the organization.\n\nThis is a hands-on leadership position ideal for a quality professional with experience in precision manufacturing, machining, engineering, and quality management systems.\n\nLocation: Concord, NC\nPosition: Full-Time, On-Site\nSchedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM\nHours: 40–50 hours per week\nSalary: $80,000–$120,000 per year, depending on experience and education\n\nKey Responsibilities\nLead and oversee daily quality control and quality assurance activities.\nDevelop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve quality management systems.\nEnsure compliance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 requirements.\nConduct and manage internal quality audits and support external audits.\nMaintain quality procedures, documentation, and records.\nIdentify quality issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.\nMonitor manufacturing processes to ensure products meet customer specifications and quality requirements.\nSupport compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and applicable industry requirements.\nWork closely with production, engineering, and management teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.\nOversee the proper use and calibration of precision measurement equipment.\nOperate and program CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) equipment.\nPromote continuous improvement and accountability throughout the organization.\nProvide quality-related leadership, training, and guidance to employees.\nQualifications\nProven experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or Quality Management within a manufacturing or engineering environment.\nStrong knowledge of quality management systems and continuous improvement principles.\nExperience implementing and maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).\nExperience conducting internal audits for ISO 9001 and AS9100.\nExperience in precision machining or manufacturing.\nExperience using a wide variety of precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.\nExperience operating and programming CMMs.\nExcellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nDemonstrated leadership and team-management abilities.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.\nBachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.\nEquivalent combination of education and hands-on industry experience may be considered.\nIdeal Candidate\n\nThe ideal candidate is a hands-on quality professional who takes pride in precision, consistency, and continuous improvement.
