Reporting to the Safety Manager or Operations leadership, you will support the implementation of safety programs, conduct site inspections, assist with training, and help ensure compliance with OSHA, company policies, and industry best practices in commercial HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical services environments.\nDuties and Responsibilities Conduct regular job site safety inspections, audits, and observations; document findings and track corrective actions.\nAssist with the development, implementation, and enforcement of company safety policies and procedures.\nSupport new-hire safety orientation and ongoing safety training for field personnel.\nInvestigate incidents, near-misses, and property damage; prepare reports and recommend preventive measures.\nMaintain safety records, documentation, and reporting requirements (OSHA logs, training records, etc.).\nParticipate in pre-job planning, safety meetings, and toolbox talks with field teams.\nMonitor compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE), fall protection, lockout/tagout, and other critical safety protocols.\nCollaborate with project managers, superintendents, foremen, and workers to address safety concerns and promote safe work practices.\nAssist with subcontractor safety coordination and pre-qualification processes.\nStay current on safety regulations and industry standards; support continuous improvement of the safety program.\nSupervisory Responsibilities None (individual contributor role with opportunities to influence and support field leadership).\nRequirements/Qualifications Experience : 2-5+ years of safety experience in construction, mechanical trades, or a related industry. Prior field experience in HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical systems is preferred.\nEducation : Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience considered.\nPhysical Demands : Ability to walk active construction sites, climb ladders, and work in various field conditions. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.\nWork Environment/Safety : Combination of office and active job sites.
