Position Overview: As a Business Development Manager specializing in controls for glass and building materials equipment, your role involves various responsibilities aimed at driving growth and success in your company's offerings tailored to the glass and gypsum industries. As a Business Development Manager in this field, your goal is to drive sales growth, foster innovation, and establish your company as a trusted provider of gypsum handling equipment solutions. By understanding market needs, building strong relationships, and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies, you can position your company for long-term success in the glass and building products industries. Key Responsibilities: Quoting Responsibilities: Handle the full quoting process from initial inquiry through to post-sale support. Market Analysis: Research the glass and gypsum industries to understand market dynamics, competitors, and opportunities. Identify gaps for your company’s solutions. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain client relationships in the glass and gypsum sectors. Understand and address their needs and challenges. Product Development: Work with the team to enhance or develop new glass and gypsum handling equipment that meets industry requirements and is cost-effective. Sales Strategy: Create and execute sales plans to enter target markets, acquire customers, and boost market share. Tailor pitches to key decision-makers. Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with marketing to create campaigns and materials that showcase your products. Utilize trade shows, online platforms, and industry publications. Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring favorable terms and resolving issues during the sales process. Training and Support: Provide training and support to staff, distributors, and end-users on product usage and promotion. Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze sales, market trends, and customer feedback to refine strategies. Compliance and Regulations: Ensure products meet industry regulations and standards. Networking and Industry Engagement: Represent the company at industry events to build connections and enhance visibility. Travel: Domestic travel 30-40%. What we need you to have: Four (4) or more years of experience in Automation & Controls Sales Bachelor’s or higher degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in industry What we’d love for you to have: Three (3) to Five (5) years of industry sales experience (glass and gypsum handling preferred)
