The CDL driver regularly moves empty and loaded trailers between warehouse locations either by over-the-road tractors or yard trucks.\n\nEssential Functions:\n\nTakes reasonable care for their own health and safety.\nTakes reasonable care for the health and safety of others.\nAuthorized to stop work when a perceived unsafe condition or behavior may result in an unwanted event\nUnderstands and actively participates in the company’s EHS policy, goals, and objectives\nFollows all Company policies and procedures\nProvide Daily Safety Briefing\nManage yard, shuttle trailers from Plant to offsite warehousing.\nUnload and prepare scrap loads\nManage trailer pool\nProvide accurate tranactions with MEP/JDE.\nMaintains an accurate cycle count of product\nMoves product from staging area to designated area within the warehouse\nDrives lift truck/turret trucks or yard trailers trucks as required\nMaintains row tags for material staged on the floor\nWorks overtime when required\nOperates the forklift to move materials to the lines as needed\nInspects all pallets for accuracy in regards to weight and correct\nLoads racks in warehouse with finished goods.\nMaintains proper housekeeping while performing duties\nRequired to assist wherever needed\nResponsible for operating the forklift in a safe manner at all times\nPerforms safety check before using forklift each shift\nAdheres to Attendance guidelines\nFollows all company policies, procedures and safety guidelines\n\nSafety Commitment:\n\nTakes reasonable care for their own health and safety.\nTakes reasonable care for the health and safety of others.\nAuthorized to stop work when a perceived unsafe condition or behavior may result in an unwanted event\nUnderstands and actively participates in the company’s EHS policy, goals, and objectives\n\nWork Environment:\n\nThis position requires that the employee be able to work\n\nOutdoors 1/3 of the time or less\n\nNear moving mechanical parts over 2/3 of the time\n\nHigh or precarious places 1/3 of the time or less\n\nNear electrical components 1/3 of the time or less\n\nNear vibrating equipment and tools 1/3 of the time or less\n\nFumes from equipment or airborne 1/3 of the time or less\n\nparticles\n\nToxic or caustic chemicals 1/3 of the time or less\n\nExtreme heat (non-weather) 1/3 of the time or less\n\nExtreme cold (non-weather) None\n\nWet or humid conditions (non-weather) 1/3 of the time or less\n\nLoud environments (equipment operation) 1/3 of the time or less\n\nEssential Physical Requirements:\n\nSitting to drive a forklift, yard truck, or over-the-road tractor required as much as 100% of workday\nStanding and walking for as much as 70% of workday\nReaching with hands and arms for as much as 75% of workday\nClimbing or balancing for as much as 25% of workday\nKneeling, stooping, crouching or crawling for as much as 10% of workday\nBending, twisting, reaching and leaning for as much as 100% of workday\nTalking to communicate with direct reports for as much as 100% of workday\nHearing to communicate with direct reports for as much as 100% of workday\nUsing arms to grasp, handle and type for as much as 75% of workday\nThe employee in this job is required to exert 60 pounds of force occasionally (less than 1/3 of time); and/or up to 40 pounds of force occasionally (less than 1/3); and/or up to 30 pounds of force regularly (more than 2/3 of the total time)\n\nEducation:\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.\n\nExperience:\n\nOne year of over-the-road experience required.
