This position offers a path to Advisory Engineering roles as domain expertise develops.\n\nJob Duties and Responsibilities\nServes as the primary technical liaison between Information Development, Product Engineering, and Development teams.\nInvestigates and reverse-engineers complex printer systems to develop deep understanding of product functionality and behavior.\nTranslates technical findings into clear documentation and guidance for technical writers.\nWorks regularly in the lab environment to stay current on printer technology, field-reported issues and problem resolutions.\nProvides input and recommendations on how to improve service documentation based on real-world findings.\nFacilitates efficient communication flow between field engineers, development teams, and information development.\nLeverages AI tools and modern technologies to improve research efficiency and documentation quality.\nContributes to project planning within the team and collaborates on cross-functional initiatives.\nRecommends solutions to technical issues that impact documentation accuracy and completeness.\nAccountable for completion of technical objectives on schedule and within cost and quality objectives.\nDocuments own work and shares knowledge proactively with the team.\nPositively and actively supports changing business needs.\nAssumes additional responsibilities as assigned.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)\nRequired:\nBS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field required.\nDemonstrated ability to understand and analyze complex electromechanical systems.\n2-4 years of relevant experience.\nExperience with product engineering, reverse engineering, or technical troubleshooting.\nExperience working with global engineering and development teams, including flexibility for occasional meetings outside standard business hours.\nPreferred:\nBackground in printing technology, imaging systems, or related industrial equipment.\nWorking knowledge of technical documentation tools and languages including DITA, SGML, Oxygen, CCMS, and static site generators to effectively collaborate with technical writers.\nFamiliarity with parts databases, wiring diagrams, assembly documentation, and engineering schematics.\n\nKNOWLEDGE, skills and abilities\nStrong analytical mindset with natural curiosity for understanding how complex systems work (\"The Knack\").\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.\nProficiency with AI tools and willingness to adopt emerging technologies to enhance productivity.\nSelf-motivated with ability to work independently in lab environments.\nStrong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.\nAbility to build relationships and collaborate effectively across engineering, field support, and documentation teams.\nUses judgment within defined practices and procedures to prioritize and resolve issues.\nQuickly develops and applies new technical skills.\nPositively contributes to a high-morale/high-performance team culture.\nAbility to influence others regarding solutions to moderately complex technical problems.\n\nworking conditions, MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS\n� Cope with stressors and demands that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable and defined levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.
