This role entails designing, implementing, and maintaining diverse solutions for a wide array of clients across various industries. The ideal candidate will manage cloud, server, and desktop solutions, excel under pressure, and provide emergency technical support as needed. As a core member of our Operations team, this role will be customer-focused and adept at handling multiple clients and projects simultaneously.\n\nDuties\n- Design and implement complex network solutions to meet business needs\n- Configure and maintain network equipment and services including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers\n- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues\n- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network availability and reliability\n- Implement security measures to protect the network from cyber threats\n- Document network configurations and procedures\n\nProject Types:\n\n- Email and file server upgrades and cloud migrations (Microsoft 365)\n- Application migrations to the cloud (Azure/SharePoint/Teams).\n- Backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.\n- Storage implementations (SAN, NAS, Cloud).\n- Server cluster deployments and virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V, HCI).\n- Phone system deployments and upgrades (SIP, Cloud PBX, WebEx Calling).\n- Platform infrastructure design and implementation.\n- Security, risk intelligence, EDR/MDR solutions.\n- Active Directory (on-prem and Azure AD) migrations and upgrades.\n- Mobile Device Management.\n- Network engineering (routing, firewall, WiFi, switching, SD-WAN).\n\nKey Competencies:\n\n- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to build customer relationships\n- Thrive in a fast-paced work environment\n- Willingness to assist with efforts outside of primary responsibilities\n- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills\n- Ability to accurately track time for billing for internal and external customers\n- Proficiency in cloud computing and virtualization\n- Expertise in Microsoft-related technologies: Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, Intune, and Hyper-V\n- Experience managing end-user devices (Windows 10/11, MacOS), laptops, terminals, and thin clients\n- Knowledge of WAN, LAN, SAN, switches, routers, Wi-Fi, backup software, and architecture\n- Familiarity with Cisco, Meraki, and Fortinet is a plus\n- Experience in an MSP environment is a plus\n- VMWare experience is a plus\n- Linux experience is a plus\n- Demonstrated dedication, work ethic, and commitment\n- Strong technical documentation and written network assessment skills\n\nQualifications:\n\n- Bachelor’s Degree in an IT field or comparable relevant experience\n- Technical certifications\n- At least 3+ years of experience as a System Administrator or Network Engineer\n- A drive to learn new technologies and solutions\n\nAt Benchmark Network Solutions, we champion a collaborative work environment that maximizes individual contributions while leveraging the collective intelligence of our team.
