You will lead a growing team while remaining actively involved in architecture, automation, and technical decision making. This role owns the security, reliability, and operational excellence of our AWS serverless platform, enabling engineering and data science teams to deliver AI driven healthcare solutions quickly and securely. You will define our cloud platform strategy, establish security by design, automate compliance, and build a modern DevSecOps culture that scales with the company.\n\nWhat You’ll Do:\nLead the DevSecOps Function: Build, mentor, and lead a high performing DevSecOps team while defining the technical roadmap for cloud infrastructure, security, and platform operations\nOwn AWS Platform: Design, build, and operate scalable AWS serverless infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK or Terraform), ensuring high availability, resilience, and cost efficiency\nBuild Secure Delivery Pipeline: Develop automated CI/CD pipelines with integrated security controls, including SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, secrets detection, and policy enforcement\nDrive Security and Compliance: Lead cloud security, vulnerability management, IAM, encryption, CSPM, and continuous compliance for HIPAA, HITRUST, and SOC 2\nImprove Operational Excellence: Improve platform reliability, observability, incident response, disaster recovery, and production readiness using AWS native services (AWS CloudWatch, X-Ray, CloudTrail, GuardDuty)\nEnable Data & AI Platforms: Build and secure the cloud infrastructure that supports large scale data pipelines, AI/ML model training, and production inference\nPartner Across Engineering: Collaborate with Engineering, Data Science, Product, and Compliance teams to enable secure, reliable, and scalable software delivery\n\nWhat You’ll Need:\nRequired:\nBachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent\n10+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or Security Engineering, including at least 2 years leading technical teams\nExperience building or scaling cloud platforms in a fast-paced startup or high growth environment\nDeep experience designing and operating AWS cloud platforms with serverless architectures\nStrong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK or Terraform\nProven experience building secure CI/CD pipelines and embedding security into the software development lifecycle\nExperience implementing cloud security best practices, identity and access management, vulnerability management, and compliance automation\nStrong Python scripting skills for automation and platform tooling\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to partner across Engineering, Security, Compliance, and executive leadership\n\nPreferred:\nExperience supporting HIPAA, HITRUST, or SOC 2 compliance programs\nExperience building or operating cloud platforms that support large-scale data engineering, AI/ML pipelines, model training and inference workloads\nAWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified Security Specialty certification\n\nWhat We Offer:\nFlexible work environment\nCompetitive base salary plus a generous bonus and equity plan\nPaid time off including holidays\nMedical, dental, vision\n401k\nWellness and home office benefits, and more\n\nPay Transparency:\nThe target salary range is $170,000 to $210,000 annually.\nBase pay offered may vary within the posted range based on several factors, including but not limited to education, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.\n\nDiversity, Equity & Inclusion:\nPrealize embraces diversity and equal opportunity in a serious way.
