The choice is yours!\nThe salary for this role is $150,000-$160,000 annually based on experience.\nKey Responsibilities:\nAI Workforce Pro — Build & Maintain\nDevelop new features, fix bugs, and maintain stability of the AI Workforce Pro platform\nIntegrate updates from the upstream open-source fork safely without breaking existing functionality\nCollaborate with the Technology team to evaluate new UI/UX approaches as the AI landscape evolves\nAI XDR Product — Clean-Up & Launch\nComplete cleanup and stabilization of the AI XDR product in preparation for launch\nEnsure code quality, documentation, and deployment pipelines meet launch standards\nInternal Tooling & Cross-Team Projects\nBuild and maintain internal tools and automations that support SMB Team operations\nCollaborate with other teams to scope, design, and ship technology solutions for internal needs and external client-facing products\nCode Quality & Engineering Standards\nWrite clean, well-documented, maintainable code and participate in peer code reviews\nContribute to engineering documentation, technical runbooks, and shared development standards\nProactively identify and flag technical debt, scope risks, and blockers\nDevelopment & maintenance of CI/CD pipeline including buildout of preproduction environments\nCollaboration & Communication\nWork closely with the Director of Technology Operations on sprint planning and project prioritization\nSurface technical constraints early in the product development process to inform product decisions\nEnable leadership to focus on product management and product owner responsibilities by executing reliably and autonomously on engineering tasks\n\nRequirements\n\n6+ years of experience as a full stack developer; proven ability to ship production-grade web applications\nMust be able to show real work (GitHub, live products, or equivalent)\nAbility to work autonomously and proactively without requiring hand-holding on day-to-day execution\nMust be current on the AI tooling landscape, particularly as it relates to building AI-powered products and workflows\nMust be willing to work within SMB Team’s systems, processes, and shared engineering standards\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teammates\nProficiency in modern web technologies — JavaScript/TypeScript (React, Node.js), RESTful APIs, cloud deployment (AWS, GCP, or Azure), GraphQL, and serverless environments\nExperience working with AI/ML APIs or AI-powered product integrations (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) strongly preferred\nAbility to work independently in a fast-moving environment; comfortable with ambiguity and iterative product development\nStrong debugging and problem-solving skills; able to diagnose and resolve issues across the full stack\nExperience with version control (Git) and branching strategies, including working with forked open-source repositories\nExperience with SMB Team’s tech stack is a plus:\nHubSpot\nAsana\nPandaDoc\nSlack\nGoogle Workspace\n\nBenefits\n\nSMB Team is a rapidly-growing marketing agency and coaching business for lawyers.
