Material Flow & Logistics SpecialistTemporary one-month assignment in Fraser, Michigan. Pay rate: $21.00-$22.00 per hour. Available shifts: A shift: Monday-Friday 6:00am to 2:00pm (OT/weekends are mandatory as scheduled). B shift: Monday-Friday 2:00pm to 10:00pm (OT/weekends are mandatory as scheduled). C shift: Sunday-Thursday 10:00pm to 6:00am (OT/weekends are mandatory as scheduled).Position Summary of Material Flow & Logistics Specialist:The Material Flow & Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating the movement, storage, and distribution of materials throughout the supply chain and production environment. This role ensures efficient material flow, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery while supporting operational productivity, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives.Key Responsibilities of Material Flow & Logistics Specialist:Coordinate inbound and outbound material movement to support production schedules and customer requirementsMonitor inventory levels and maintain accurate material tracking within ERP/WMS systemsAnalyze material flow processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunitiesCollaborate with purchasing, production, warehousing, and transportation teams to ensure timely availability of materialsSchedule and oversee shipments with carriers, suppliers, and internal logistics teamsMaintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and shipping regulationsSupport cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconciliation activitiesDevelop and maintain logistics documentation, reports, and KPI dashboardsAssist in implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiativesResolve material shortages, shipping discrepancies, and logistics-related issues in a timely mannerTrack logistics performance metrics including inventory accuracy, freight costs, delivery performance, and throughput efficiencyParticipate in cross-functional planning meetings to support operational goalsQualifications of Material Flow & Logistics Specialist:High School Diploma required, Associate degree preferred2+ years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, material planning, or supply chain coordinationStrong understanding of inventory control and material handling processesExperience with ERP, MRP, or Warehouse Management SystemsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis toolsExcellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of lean manufacturing, FIFO principles, and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred
