The EE HW team owns the design, build and bring‑up of Aeva’s mixed‑signal PCBs. As a V&V Hardware Engineer, you will be expected to perform a wide range of tasks in PCBA or sub‑circuit bring‑up, characterization, verification, and validation.\n\nWhat you’ll be doing:\n\nWork closely with EE design engineers and other engineering teams to examine the individual PCBs, their function, and interconnections\n\nSimulation & hands‑on characterization of a circuit, sub‑circuit, PCBA, or system and articulating feedback in formal or informal design reviews.\n\nPartner with design leads to perform a variety of design verification & validation tasks\n\nMay engage with CM’s or internal Manufacturing teams to ensure smooth roll‑out in an NPI function\n\nSupport EE team in backend design support including RMA, FA, and Customer interfacing\n\nWhat you have:\n\nBS or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field\n\n1-4 years experience in the Electrical Hardware / product space with robust, hands‑on lab experience\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\n\nGood understanding of HW components, their interfaces and SW controls\n\nGood understanding of debug and probing techniques for a variety of communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet, PCIE etc)\n\nUnderstanding of PCB design fundamentals & technical tradeoffs\n\nBe an active team member working closely with other EE design engineers and other groups\n\nAbility to analyze a design, component data sheet, user guide, or schematic to make insightful decisions\n\nPrior experience with Python / MATLAB for test automation and data visualization\n\nExperience in motor control and/or RF/analog design is a plus\n\nA big plus if you have experience in the automotive or Lidar industry\n\nWhat’s in for you:\n\nBe part of an fast paced and dynamic team with a large scope of responsibility and high impact\n\nVery competitive compensation and meaningful equity\n\nExceptional benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, and more\n\nUnlimited PTO: We care about results, not punching a timecard\n\nSalary Range\n$132,400—$179,200 a year\nSalary pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
