In this strategic leadership role, you will partner closely with GHD’s Navy East Client Manager to strengthen and expand client and industry relationships, drive proactive engagement initiatives, and oversee the successful delivery of projects supporting Navy missions.\nThe position will focus primarily on Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and Washington regions, requiring a strong understanding of Navy priorities, stakeholder engagement, and program delivery. The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing GHD’s presence within the Navy market by fostering trusted partnerships, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring exceptional client service.\nThis role may be based in locations that support Navy operations throughout the Eastern United States, including, but not limited to, Virginia Beach, Norfolk, or Chantilly, Virginia, as well as Jacksonville, Florida.\nWorking with an energetic and high-performing team, the Program Manager – US Navy Eastern United States will be responsible for:\nEnsuring the timely delivery of high-quality project outcomes that meet client expectations.\nBuilding and maintaining trusted relationships with Navy leadership and decision-makers.\nDeveloping strategic partnerships with large and small businesses, including design-build contractors and professional service providers.\nRepresenting GHD at client meetings, industry events, and professional organizations to strengthen brand visibility and market position.\nSupporting client engagement, business development, and account management activities.\nPeople\nAdapting well to a highly collaborative work environment\nCommunicating regularly with Navy East Client Manager, Navy Global Program Manager, Navy Client Engagement Team, and GHD Market and Regional leaders\nCollaborating with design and delivery organization leaders to facilitate high quality project delivery\nPerformance\nStrong commitment to client service excellence\nExcellent communication and team building skills\nLeading, supporting, and monitoring strategic pursuits in the Navy program\nDeveloping goals and actions for the Navy program in alignment with the Market and Region plans\nEstablishing relationships with design-build construction contractors and winning design-build opportunities\nFor success in this position, you will possess the following skills and qualifications:\nA retired Civil Engineer Corps Officer a plus\nBachelor and/or Master’s degree from an accredited school in an engineering or related technical field including architecture\n10+ years in project management and engagement with US Navy clients\nStrong ability to cultivate trusted, long-term relationships with NAVFAC leadership, contracting officers, decision makers, and industry partners\nExcellent written and oral communication skills\nAbility and willingness to travel to industry events and client offices as needed\n#LI-TW1\nOur Hybrid Work Model: Be part of the dynamic culture!
