We're looking for an entry level Shop Technician (Shop Tech - 1), to join our team and keep our equipment and tools running at their best. Shop Tech - 1 is responsible for assisting in facility related projects, Shop shipping & receiving operations, and will utilize hand & power tools in the maintenance and repair (M&R) process.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assemble and prepare equipment for installation and serviceAssist with: packing, wrapping, loading, and unloading of deliveriesOperating hot-water pressure washer to clean equipment, as requiredAssist in facility projects including: moving items, packing boxes, cleaning, trash removal, etcAssist other shop team members with equipment installation, service, cleaning. Perform QA/QC checks prior to "Green-Tag" and properly record test resultsMaintain a clean and safe work environment. Installation, and verification, of required S3S decals prior to equipment shippingResponsible for requesting tools, supplies, and fixtures needed for their work dutiesMay be required to work in other locations from time to time. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to utilize measuring devices: tape measure, caliper, thread gauge, etcAbility to identify the thread size and specification of an unknown fastenerAbility to use a variety of hand and power toolsAbility to operate equipment including Front end loaders, Forklifts, and overhead cranesMust be able to read and write in English fluently (Spanish is a plus)Must have manual dexterity and ability to lift up to 50 lbsMust be mechanically inclined / adept, and familiar with hand toolsAble to communicate effectively with othersAble to understand and carry out routine oral and written instructionsUnderstanding of proper fastener installation, and torquing. Minimum Required Education, Credentials, Licenses and Experience: High School Diploma, or GED equivalent1+ Year experience working in a maintenance and repair environment, preferredForklift Certified, preferred. Certification training availableOverhead Crane Certified, preferred.
