Your assignments will focus on water/wastewater projects but may also include broader process-mechanical engagements. You will be part of our collaborative team in Hawaii and aligned with Jacobs’ Infrastructure Design Department centered out of Corvallis, OR to provide the following services:\n\nEvaluation of pumping, treatment, and process options to determine the best approaches to solve client challenges\n\nAbility to understand and communicate complex problems and solutions with clients\n\nPlanning and design for full-scale pumping, treatment systems, and treatment plant improvements for construction\n\nDevelopment of facility layouts and process & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)\n\nDevelopment of construction documents, including drawings and specifications\n\nEvaluation and selection of process equipment, pumping systems, pipe materials, and valves\n\nData analysis and computer modeling\n\nTechnical report writing\n\nBidding and permitting services support\n\nField inspection of treatment/mechanical equipment\n\nHere’s what you’ll need\n\nBachelor’s degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or related engineering discipline\n\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license\n\nA minimum of 8 years of progressive process mechanical engineering and project delivery experience with water, wastewater and/or industrial treatment, including planning, evaluations, and design\n\nEducational emphasis and a strong interest in treatment and/or mechanical system design and operation\n\nSelf-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis skills, technical problem-solving ability, organizational skills, and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment\n\nProficient skills with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)\n\nIdeally, you’ll have:\n\nMaster’s degree in civil, mechanical, or related engineering discipline\n\n10 or more years of direct experience in municipal wastewater treatment or process mechanical for water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations and conveyance systems experience\n\nHydraulic modeling skills (e.g. Fathom, Pipe-Flo)\n\nConstruction or facility operations experience\n\nActive in relevant professional organizations\n\nWorking with and leading project teams and or managing projects\n\nExperience working and communicating directly with clients\n\nOur health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
