In this role, you’ll combine technical aviation skills with a commitment to excellence, contributing directly to your community by supporting vital emergency medical services.ons.\nEssential Functions\nOperates aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, and mission protocols.\nPlans and executes flights, accounting for weather conditions, weight and balance, and fuel requirements.\nCollaborates effectively with medical staff, ground crew, and dispatch for seamless mission execution.\nResponds promptly to emergency callouts, maintaining readiness at all times.\nMaintains accurate flight and maintenance logs as required by the company and FAA.\nRepresents the company professionally when interacting with patients, families, and the public.\nSkills\nAdaptability\nFlight planning\nCommunication\nDecision-making\nTeam collaboration\nSituational awareness\nLeadership\nSafety compliance\nTechnical proficiency\nStress management\nMinimum Qualifications\nFAA Certifications:\nCommercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating or an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate; appropriate category and class ratings\nCurrent FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate (or higher)\nFlight Experience:\n2,500 hours of total flight time in a helicopter\n100 hours of cross-country flight – 25 hours at night\n75 actual or simulated instrument hours\n100 hours of unaided night flight time\nOther\nPass a 135.293 check ride within the first 60 days of hire\nPreferred Qualifications\nAir ambulance experience\nNight Vision Goggle experience\n300 flight hours at night\nTurbine-engine time – 1000 hours\nLive within one hour of assigned base\nAbility to sit for extended periods in an aircraft cockpit\nCapability to perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections, which may involve climbing, kneeling, crouching, or stooping\nMust meet FAA medical standards for physical and mental fitness, as verified by a current FAA Medical Certificate\nMeet Intermountain Health standards for annual hearing tests\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, as required for handling equipment or luggage\nTolerance for varying environmental conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, and noise during aircraft operations\nMeet current weight restrictions established by the company\nLocation:\nEly Air Base\nWork City:\nEly\nWork State:\nNevada\nScheduled Weekly Hours:\n40\nThe hourly range for this position is listed below.
