Work under the direction of a Lead Craftsman or Foreman.\nJOB FUNCTIONS:\nActively support the Company’s commitment to safety and its “Core Values.”\nAlways represent the Company with high moral standards while adhering to the Company’s “Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.”\nAssist Electrical Journeyman Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.\nDiagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.\nConnect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.\nInspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.\nTest electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.\nPlan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.\nMaintain current electrician's license to meet governmental regulations.\nWork well with supervision.\nIdentify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.\nPerform all other job-related duties as requested by Journeyman and supervision\nSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:\nApprentices will participate in the apprenticeship program for up to four (4) years.\nMinimum of two (2) years of electrical, industrial or refinery maintenance experience.\nKnowledge of industry hand and power tools.\nComplete the Matrix Service Safety training and Client/Site specific training.\nMust obtain and maintain active status within the drug testing program.\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nEmployees will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting and lifting.\nWill talk and hear to communicate\nMust have good dexterity with hands and fingers to perform the precision adjustments of machinery parts and controls.\nWill use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, pull objects, materials, controls and tools.\nMay be required to lift, carry and move up to 50lbs.\nWill occasionally work at heights, climb ladders and stairways and work from platforms. Will work at heights up to 300' utilizing proper fall protection.\nWill use vision abilities to focus, see short and long distances, colors, depth perception and peripheral vision.\nMust be capable of working outside in the elements including but not limited to the heat, cold, rain, snow and wind; and must be able to work for long periods of time up to 12 hours a day.\nWill be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and steel-toe boots.\nWashington law requires pay information in job postings.
