Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline required. M.S. in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis or related discipline preferred.\n\nPE License preferred.\n\nSE License in Illinois or ability and plan to obtain.\n\nMinimum of 5 years of bridge inspection, analysis, load rating and/or design experience.\n\nSuccessful completion of one or more of the following FHWA-NHI courses is preferred but not required:\n\nSafety Inspection of In‑Service Bridges\n\nFracture Critical Inspection Techniques for Steel Bridges\n\nExperience working with IDOT, CDOT, ISTHA and/or Chicagoland local agencies preferred.\n\nStrong communication and client relation skills.\n\nProgressive experience with developing design drawings and utilizing MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.\n\nStrong organization and leadership skills with a track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules.\n\nAbility to perform complex analysis and design.\n\nAbility to assemble a complete design package for assigned elements or projects.\n\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment.\n\nCompensation\nIllinois Pay Range: $104,000—$124,000 USD.\n\nBenefits\nMedical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, 401K plan, profit‑sharing contributions, paid time off and family leave.\n\nEqual Opportunity & Accessibility\nBenesch is a committed equal‑opportunity employer.
