You’ll be working closely with engineering leadership, product teams, and other stakeholders to build systems that are reliable, maintainable, and built to scale.What You’ll DoLead the design and development of backend systems using PythonOwn architectural decisions and help modernize existing systems where neededMentor and support a team of developers—code reviews, design discussions, and career guidanceCollaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutionsImprove system performance, scalability, and reliabilityDrive best practices around coding standards, testing, and deploymentParticipate in hiring and help build a strong engineering cultureWhat We’re Looking For11+ years of hands-on software development experience, with strong expertise in PythonProven experience in a lead or senior role, managing or mentoring engineersDeep understanding of backend architecture and distributed systemsExperience building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservicesStrong knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL systems)Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCPExperience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes is a plus)Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesComfortable working in Agile environmentsNice to HaveExperience with frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPIExposure to event-driven architectures or message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)Background in data-heavy systems or data engineeringFrontend familiarity (React, Angular) is a bonus but not requiredLeadership ExpectationsAbility to balance hands-on coding with leadership responsibilitiesStrong communication skills—able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersOwnership mindset: you don’t just build features, you think about long-term impactComfortable making decisions in ambiguous situations
