As we continue to grow, we are looking for motivated individuals who want to build a long-term career in technical sales within the manufacturing sector.Location: Wylie, TXPosition Type: Full-Time, On-SiteTravel: Occasional (approx.Position OverviewWe are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer who will begin by supporting our sales and engineering teams with technical drawings, part reviews, and customer communication, with the clear path to advance into a full Sales Engineer role.This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with people, learning new technical skills, and contributing directly to customer success.Key ResponsibilitiesInitial Responsibilities (Technical / Training Phase):Review customer drawings and convert them into extrusion-ready technical documentationAssist in developing CAD models, print revisions, tolerances, and technical notesSupport quoting activities through drawing interpretation and specification analysisWork directly with engineering and production to ensure manufacturability of designsHelp troubleshoot custome issues and recommend solutions based on extrusion capabilitiesGrowth Responsibilities (Sales Engineer Phase):Manage customer accounts and respond to technical and commercial inquiriesDevelop a strong understanding of profiles, dies, alloys, fabrication, and finishingVisit customer sites to provide technical guidance and ensure successful applicationsCollaborate with internal teams to deliver accurate quotes, lead times, and project updatesBuild long-term customer relationships through trust, responsiveness, and problem-solvingPlease submit your resume and a brief cover letter explaining your interest in aluminum extrusion and your long-term career goals.RequirementsWhat We're Looking ForA genuine interest in helping customers find solutionsStrong social and communication skills - comfortable working with people at all levelsHigh attention to detail with the ability to read and interpret technical drawingsExperience with CAD or technical drafting (AutoCAD, or similar) preferredAbility to learn manufacturing processes and apply technical conceptsSelf-motivated, organized, and eager to grow into a sales-oriented careerWillingness to travel occasionally (mostly day trips) but primarily on-site in Wylie, TXQualificationsAssociate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Drafting, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)Prior exposure to aluminum extrusion, machining, manufacturing, or fabrication is a plus but not requiredValid driver's license and ability to travel for customer visits as needed
