Senior Tax Accountant role - New York - Hybrid roleA public accounting firm is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to prepare and manage complex tax engagements. This role is responsible for completing assigned tax returns through final partner review while supervising staff and working directly with clients.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and complete complex tax returns (individual, corporate, partnership, fiduciary, and gift)Manage engagements from preparation through final review with minimal supervisionPerform tax research and apply federal and state tax lawCommunicate directly with clients to gather information and provide supportSupervise, train, and review work of junior tax staffWork closely with firm leadership and follow professional standards and firm proceduresSkills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s in Tax preferred)CPA preferred or active progress toward licensure5–8 years of public accounting tax experienceStrong knowledge of tax compliance and research toolsProficient with tax and accounting software, Excel, Word, and QuickBooksExcellent communication, organisation, and deadline-management skillsIf this sounds like something that suits you, please don't hesitate to reach out!
